Women/Girls and Sports

i am a better golfer than most of the guys up here and i ride park 90% of the time and though i may not be as good as all the guys, i canhold my own. not all girls are little prissy things that cna do nothing but sit onthe sidelines looking pretty so try not to generalize so much. there is a girl at my school who wrestles and she can beat almost any guy she goes up against (she's 5'1''too) there proving even further that girls can kick ass if they work hard enough.

well majority rules, and a majority of most women are not as physically capable as the majority of men are. Hard facts, It's definitely personal though, sure if you are a girl and you go out and ski every day like a mother fucker you will get good. I practice rails everyday at my house and I am better than one of my guy friends who doesn't practice as much- but the same guy and I both play frisbee and play just as much as the other.. take a guess who's better... he is. But that doesn't mean I'm not good at frisbee. Women have to work harder than men to be as good, so if all the girls are resentful of the whole men are better are women thing, get together and change it. Otherwise don't complain.

I was just thinking--girls may not have the physical advantage over guys in all areas, but think about the stuff we have to deal with that they don't? I don't think guys could handle labor or cramps or anything like that, so I'm sure it evens out in the end.

Sometimes women do have the physical advantage over guys. Female pro volleyball players are ripped! i saw a few from the US team last night on 'best damn sports show' they kicked ass against three other guys (three of them as well playing). but what got me was that my boyfriend said... they look like guys. theyre fuckin butch lesbians. i dont like that. its ugly..... yeah, and they looked like hot women to me. but this issue discourages alot of women from building their bodies, becoming muscular and being strong all together... because alot of men, not all, think its unattractive to be very muscular. or theyre intimidated because the guys are shrimps themselves. anyway, that pissed me off when he said that andf i beat him up because im bigger than he is. HA!

 
i dont know, they probably got more sense that to do something so stupid with total disreguard for their bodys'

Kristi and Sarah and all that crew are very talented, but are in a different world from the men. I believe I will be able to train my baby sister up to be at least a European champion in biking or skiing or something. Biking's Anne-Caroline Chauson is absolutly incredible, she owns 99.99999% of me out there, I rode with her in Morzine/Les Gets on the World Cup DH Trails out there, she's incredible, only person to pass me in two weeks, and she did it over and over again.

i'm a girl and love hitting rails. it took practice but that's all you need for anything. I find that if i am out with guys riding park, it's fun, but i like skiing with my girls, we are at the same level. I think most girls are just intimidated and don't want to go out there and learn because they don't want to make a fool of themselves. once you get over that it's all good, but until then you wont see many girls in the park.

 
I couldn't be more down with chicks ripping it in sports, but let's face it, some of them are boring as hell to watch. I mean women's hockey is like watching a peewee game. I think it's intimidating to guys also when a chick can throw down. My ex playef rugby, and even though she was small, she was good. I felt weird about that...

thats interesting what rugbydave said about intimidation. I think being good at sports has to do with agression. And agressive girls can be scary. Girls I think sometimes struggle with the mental stuff more then guys. I know I think too much when I ski. I have to shut myself up and just f**ng do it. Guys are generally more willing to risk hurting themselves. Besides most guys think they are awesome. But it was really cool yesterday I heard two snowboarder guys yelling at each other cause the one guy was wussing out in the park. Its good to know that even guys struggle with having balls. haha

For sure it can be intimidating for guys. On 2 fronts, in contact sports generally the good girls are butch and scary looking and nobody likes that. In skiing, it's more like, dude, you gotta be better than a chick... Anyways, I think chicks who can throw down are rad, specially when they're tasty lookin'

I changed my sig because someone thought it was too long,so that makes it a shorter sig,doesn't it?Maybe i should make it longer,maybe not,but who gives a fuck?Certainly not me,neither your mom,I like trees,because they grow apples,and I like apples as much as i like weed.

My conclusion is that we should all put some seeds under the ground in some hot country(like mine,where the heat is too hot to move 3 feet away from the swimming pool)and just let it grow,because when i get old i wanna get stoned,but in order to get high i need to improvise some techniques for the growth of pot.

yeah if ur a girl in the park and there's only guys around its so intimidating. but if you just think well i dont care bout them then ur gonna get over ur fear. i still have though. there are never any girls in the park where i ski and if there are they're snowboarders.

 
yeah girl sports are kinda dull. even skiing. at the junior nats only like 2 of the girls were pulling 3s, the rest werent ever spinning.

then they guys were throwin switch cork 10s, it was crazy.

i think its awesome girls are pushin the sport. i know so many girls that wouldnt think to go in the park, let alone go skiing, even if they're not hittin the big jumps or whatever, its still impressive to see girls going off and trying stuff. i mean we all had to learn some time. so keep it up girls

 
I have a few girlfriends that can rip skiing, but as far as the park goes we always get intimidated. when you can't do anything its pretty tough to go try stuff in the park with a million guys watching you. I always feel like they think that if i'm there i must be able to do something huge, and because i can't it makes me not want to go at all.

 
^yea the first time i tried to hit the quarterpipe at sunday river i didn't know how to do it at all and i just went up and flipped because i leaned too far back. i felt like such a fool because there were all these guys just watching. i just skied away as fast as i could. but i went back and tried again the next morning when no one was there.

 
yeah...but we should stop being scared of looking like retards becasue if people see us and we suck...then we come back and keep trying until we're good, then thats tight.

girls- guys are just as scared to look like fools, if not more so. If I or my buds see a girl trying to throw down we cheer her on, wipe-out or not, can't say we do that for guys. I find that if you girls go int oa par kand try, you'll get respect easier and also guys will help if you ask, no doubt any guy will be happy if a skier girl started talkign to them.

 
yea i want to get into wrestling, like i am a wrestlerette, but girls can't wrestle like guys either don't want to wrestle a girl or they try even harder becaus ethey don't want to be beaten by a girl.

2 nights ago my friend jodan and i had bare nuckle boxing in his basement. we even had a crowd watching. well it was pretty evenly matched like i am almsot 5'10 , 130lbs, hes 5'8 or less, 150 lbs. and we just beat the shit out of eachother. i have huge bruises on my arms and so does he and my lip is swollen (got jacked in the face on accident) well we just declared the fight over when we both needed water, and neither of us 'won' but it just shows girls can 'keep' up with boys. and it was fun as fuck

And it makes me see, every puff that I breathe, potent herbs and leaves could ease the world . . .

So, We roll and smoke and choke and- pass and toke and hand it back to ya.
