I think that the idea of your thread is awesome. But most people on NS are just purposefully sexist to make themselves seem like badasses to the "bros". I don't think that most people on here are true misogynists in their every day lives. A lot of people really respect the woman freeskiers, actually.

But it really is good that you're promoting women.
 
Yea women are awesome, any 14 year old boy on here who rags on girls and girls skiing turns around and nearly craps himself trying to ask a girl to the 8th grade formal or whatever... so maybe lets stop talking about womens skiing, and just go back to talking about skiing.
 
There's two routes this thread can take:

1) Copious pictures of scantily clad hotties.

2) Pointless arguments about feminism and misogyny.

 
I like how I make one troll post and can get a rise out of a few girls on NS. I'm not saying women are bad or anything, just saying that could can do cooler stuff. There were some sick shots, don't get me wrong, but why do women have to have a specific "people are awesome" video? Probably because guys do it better and get into the normal ones. Just saying.

Also, don't give me any of your feminism bullshit. I'm not the one who made the thread and started the topic on women. I was merely stating a fact after a woman had to assert her opinion.
 
You and anyone else who says that feminism is bull shit is the reason that feminism is seen as bull shit.

Feminists aren't always the penis hating, cat loving, matrearchists that you see on the television. Feminism is believing in equal rights for women and equal rights for men. Men may statistically be better at some sports, but that doesn't mean that every woman is worse at sports than every man. Let's face it, some guys play shitty and some women play awesome. Some women may even play better than some of the world's best athletes...who's to say? we can't gauge who is the best and who's not because there are way too many people to possibly do that.

So because they want to be treated equal they have to create a video just for themselves?

If women are equal to men why aren't they doing cool enough shit to be put into the regular videos?

Also, women are for equality in their favor. As soon as it comes to something that they have the upper-hand and they have to sacrifice, they're all about being "treated like a woman."

 
It is technically sexist that there is a "Girls are Awesome" video but not a "Men are Awesome" video. You dont see men complaining tho

i dont really think its the case. its a controversial discussion that happens again and again. it isnt taken seriously because this isnt a place to take things seriously. shitting on this conversation is basically another in-joke amongst the community, just like pee in her butt and patrol blew it up.
 
Thats what pisses me off. If you wanna be an equal to a guy expect to be treated exactly as an equal. If you bitch about feminism don't expect and special treatment later on for being a girl. You wanna get paid and have the privileges a the same as a guy I'm gonna treat you like a guy. If you want to be treated better than me, dont bitch about equal rights

This thread is stupid and will turn into a stupid argument.. Why not just make a people are awesome video with men and women doing awesome shit throughout. Why does the video have to be just women or just men. I would be just as stoked to see a video if it was both men and women doing "awesome" things.
 
Because on those videos, the women never do cool stuff. Man throws triple of a rope swing, girl flails off the rope swing. I like this video though, it kind of proves the opposite.
