Anyone who says that Republicans are solely responsible for shutting down the government obviously has no clue how our system of government works. The Republicans are in the minority. Dems have the Senate and the Presidency.

About the one thing we agree on is that money doesn't belong in politics. Politicians are public servants. There is no way that anything good can come from people becoming rich while serving "we the people".

Point of fact. My business is not a reality yet. I posted at some point that I had intended on hiring about 50 full time employees per location. Things have changed. Like many other companies, I will have to rely on part-time employees so that I will not be forced to provide health care. With any start up, the most important thing is to become profitable as soon as possible so you have a better chance of staying in business. I would love to be able to hire full time people and provide them with great benefits, but you can't do that until you are able to stay above water. The reality that you just don't seem to be capable of accepting is that this will make it tougher for new businesses to start up and it will be tougher for existing small businesses to remain competitive.

Everyone on this site loves and respects small upstart ski manufacturers. Everything your beloved dems have passed recently has made it tougher for small businesses to compete with large corporations. I am concerned that we may see some small ski companies go out of business as their costs go up. That would be a Greek tragedy, and I doubt anyone here would consider it to be worth it.
 
You lost me, and I'm not understanding what you are trying to say. In this video the democrats are literately saying I demand we vote to reopen the government, then we find out the gop quickly passed a new rule that states only they can call for that vote.

On the House floor, Congressman Chris Van Hollen decided to get a clarification on the rules of the shutdown. Apparently, normally any congressperson can call for a vote on any bill at any time. But just before the shutdown happened, the GOP quietly passed a measure that said only House Majority Leader Eric Cantor can call for the shutdown to end (unless he gives a designee permission). Not even the most senior GOP congressperson, Speaker of the House John Boehner, is allowed to do it, without permission from his own guy.

No Christianity considers homosexuality wrong so of course they dont support it. Gay people however are equally supported as with the rest of the world, Christians are called to love Gays and straights and muslims and everyone equally.

How I see it is that religion and its principles can be great if left uncorrupted, as soon as man uses it for his own good often times secrectly it is negative, therefore religion is bad? Wrong, because it isnt true religion. A lot of times in history religion did not cause war but was a justifyable excuse to fight war because it was "divine". Ex the crusades. These corrupt religions really made a bad name for all religion. Its a new age where religion doesnt take advantage of people like it used to, for the most part...there will always be some corrupt and false religions with poor principles and extreme ideologies. I really like what butter slut said, it givess people hope and it helps them find fulfillmeny in life

5. Children can't legally consent to having sex with an adult. Adults can legally consent to get married.

Gay marriage has literally nothing to do with religion. Marriage isn't even a religious thing unless you make it. I can go to the county office and get a piece of paper signed and boom I'm married. No ceremony, no fanfare, no religion. Your church won't have to perform gay marriages. Why are you so against a gay couple receiving tax benefits?

In all honesty I dont know exactly where I stand all I know is that every person must be allowed to make their own choices and homosexuality is not what god intended. this was conflicting, so the best thing I could think right now was that it is wrong and idont support that lifestyle but I will not stop being their friend and a human being
