Wolf Creek - Yay or Nay?

So I got some of my buds wanting me to ski with them at wolf creek around thankstiving. I hear they have plenty of snow (of course my bud from NY says its the greatest place ever), but somewhat mellow terrain and trees everywhere. I've never been there myself, which is obviously why I'm asking......SO

Is it worth droppin a few bucks to ski there over thanksgivin? or should I just stick to home turf for the time being (boat, breck)

The place is sweet, Thanksgiving might be a little thin comparatively, but almost definatly better than Summit. They are almost always 100% open by the first of the year, and January usually turns out to be deep. Last year was amazing.

i rocked it in march last year and found all the rumors to be true. it snowed hard all day and we could do 3 or 4 runs without seeing anyone in knee deep powder- id say it was def worth it but that was in march

it's the shit. go there for sure. without a doubt. tons of nice mellow trees, but some fatty stuff too if you look for it. try ducking the gates between the 3rd and 4th waterfall entrance (i think) and you'll find some nice short stashes

wolf creek is a pretty fun place. Some good short shots here and there but no real sustained vertical. Fun little rocks to jump. I went down there right before thanksgiving last year, they got 27 inches that night, we slept in our car, woke up and skied pow in early november. That was last year, but southern colorado usually gets more snow than the I70 resorts. I would go if I were you.

Snow is amazing, vertical is a little mellow however, and you need to keep your speed up near the bottom, or you will be skating to the lift line.
