Planning to take a trip down to southwest Colorado to ski Wolf Creek Telluride and Silverton. Anyone know where to look for cheap lodging in this area? I would like to stay near telluride because I have heard the night life their is the best in the area but price is my main concern.

Stay in Pagosa, and if you have people to split the cost you can usually find houses very cheap there. A few buddies to split and it's very reasonable and you can't beat a house.

If it is during a big storm stay in south fork because the west side of wolf creek pass gets closed more often than the east side and if you are in pagosa springs you wont be able to get to wolf creek

I would say that you should stay in Durango. Its an awesome city, and pretty much right in the middle of all three resorts you talked about. About 1.5 hrs to Wolf Creek, an hour to Silverton, and 2 hours to Telluride
