but seems steep when you can get a 20k,20k LD for less price and layer that sucker up

haha, you obviously have never looked around much at Spyder outerwear... that is one of their more inexpensive pieces. All of their men's, non-freeride collection is $400-$800. Just google Spyder Zermatt jacket and see what you get.

Spyder's stuff is nice, but as the guy before me said, you are paying for the name.
