you kind of glossed over the second attempt there. what happened there?

i feel like it was flagged as soon as it was scanned in the first place and you dipped rather than showing your face... i really doubt you and your friend are going to have an easy time getting your pass working again. from what i hear they don't take kindly to someone claiming someone used their pass without their permission, that is, i doubt your buddy can go and get it reactivated, instead they'll say fuck you, you were trying to let someone else use your pass

I bet the Ikon Pass social media marketing team doesn't ever check NS and/or threads related to their company. So you're probably safe posting about the incident here and letting the whole world know how to trace you back to the scene of the crime. Good news for your buddy is that you can buy him the Mountain Collective or Epic Pass next winter. Good luck!!

We've been moving around passes all year in my friend group with no issue at all. My homie is 5'6 and straight outta hawaii, basically as brown as it gets and lets everyone use his Ikon. A facemask and goggles would've solved your problem before it even became a problem. If you're going to steal services, don't do it like an idiot. I literally used a girls pass at keystone once without getting caught (it was stupid af, I know, you don't need to tell me) you gotta be pretty stupid to actually get caught.

That's not what I said. They have an online marketing team. That team monitors conversations about the Ikon Pass, competitors, etc...it's called Social Listening (Google it). Your thread title is pretty suspicious and when they pull a social listening list it will probably appear. And judging by your OP, it sounds like they're trying to crack down on poachers.

Squaw is like the worst resort to try to use someone else's pass. I get asked all the time about my own pass.

Liftys get paid 75 buckes for every fraudulent pass they find. And they don't really fuck around
 
The pass account is probably frozen and the pass likely will not work anywhere anymore. Best case scenario the pass owner can just go in and say he needs a new pass printed because he lost his pass, and they print another one on the spot. Unless they can somehow connect the two of you, I don't really see how they can rebut the lost pass scenario..
 
I bet OP and other Ikon poachers are causing all the traffic at J Hole, Big Sky, LCC and all those other places crusty locals like to bitch about stuff, think about all the extra days and car trips!

They have RFID scanners at Squaw. In the OP he just says he didn't show it when asked not that they didn't scan it. When I was at squaw I never took my ticket out of my pocket and but they took my picture when I bought it so I'm pretty sure they were looking at my photo on their tablets when I came through the lift line.
 
They have them at snowbird too, but what I gather happened is they noticed it on the slope, not the liftline, or do they send the guy after you once you get off the lift?

Ive been on NS long enough to not believe 95% of any kind of story regarding lifties, school officials, fights, JUUL or anything that might make the OP appear edgy. Especially this guy that somehow dipped away from a lift line, changed into different ski clothes then dipped out of another lift line with a flagged pass without being detained. That being said, back in 2007 I did have a buddy that had to go to court over using a buddy's Epic pass and it got pretty ugly for him.

OP claims he got caught using someone elses pass. claims he changed clothes and they still caught him and now his friends pass is flagged. he wanted the forum to tell him what to do.
