One of the common app essays is to discuss some issue of personal, local, national, or international concern and is importance to you. I was thinking of discussing the lawsuit and incorporating details about myself and other things that should be in the essay along with this story.

But does this sound like a good idea? Does anyone have anything to say that may strike a new thought in my head? Or am I going in the completely wrong direction with this?

You said local, national, or international concern. WME vs L1P is yes, a concern to skiers, but, it really isn't a concern for anyone outside of the skiing community though. But, that is just my two cents.

Well I could take this as being a personal concern, or international, since there are skiers throughout the world who know about this, or who would probably have the same feelings about it as we do upon finding out about it.

But now that i'm starting to write it, it seems like it's going to be rather difficult to do... but thats how everything seems when I just start out.

Yeah, what is the due date on this though? Cause if it remains hard to write about for more than like a couple days I say abort and find some other topic.

Thats what I was thinking, I was going to ask my teacher about it, I just stopped typing that one and was going to try to write on a different topic. But I'm still going to keep that one in reserve if i ever have a good idea.

probably hard essay to write, youve got no facts to back you up that it would hurt you or the ski community, its kinda just a dick move
