Winter season newzealand! (Preferably in Wanaka/Cardrona)

Dear newschoolers!

I really want to do the winter season in newzealand as i got hooked during the winter season in australia!

Anyone got any leads for a job / accomodation in wanaka?

Or tips and tricks?

If you're trying to work at a ski area, the jobs are probably all up now. Usually go up end of jan through early march.

Do you need a visa?

Noppe got a working holiday visa and ye i was looking at the applications and they open around 14-15th of march so :)! Gonna try to be one of the first to apply!
 
Word. Yeah good you figured out the visa. Id aply to several jobs unless youre applying for something with huge demand or you have a ton of skills with. I met some people that had gotten visa and came with friends but couldnt find a job. Granted i think most didnt apply to anything in advance and though they assumed theyed show up at the mtn and have when they got there and get a job no problem.

Never hurts to apply to extras and take the best gig you can get.

Thats the plan :)! Did rental last season in aussy and was super happy doing it so not too picky!
 
What up man, stoked to hear you wanna come down south, I live in Queenstown which is pretty close to wanaka. Your best bet is to get on face book and try hunt down the local wanaka community pages which have heaps of helpful

Shit like housing options and job opportunities. Also have a look at trademe.co.nz for jobs as they do a bit of advertising in nz. If you come

Down with a bit of money you’ll be able to set your self up and go from there, but rent can be exspensive so keep it mind. Cadronas park is all time though and there’s some damn good back country around too. Hope this helps

Ye man! Was hoping for cardrona but if its not possible any resort is fine! :D
