Winter dew tour - best thing happened to freeskiing so far

i don't necessarily think that the winter dew tour is the best thing to happen to freesking but it's definitely good that were getting more publicity in more events and different corporate sponsors
 
for sure and last year it came to ohio too bad i'm too old this past season :( i was stoked when the dna tour came to the midwest
 
As long as this doesn't create the "tony hawk game" effect to skiing this event will be cool.

*tony hawk effect: to many posers to count start skiing because of this
 
Why does that matter to you?

I read all these things on NS about how if there is so many joeys and teds floating around, the sport will suck. But I dont see how it matters to anyone?

If you see some newbs from the chair do you lose it? or scoff at them and then have a bad day after? Probably not.

Explain to me how that matters to you personally?
 
Too bad that the Dew Tour sucks ass. At least the summer skateboarding/bmx stuff does, lets hope something better for this though
 
yeah dude, there are some little kids that absolutely rip it out twoards cleveland. i ski with them all the time at alpine. their redic, i wish i had no fear of breaking myself still.
 
you do know that it sold to new owners this past spring right? hopefully they will have a better management that will lure freeskiers in instead of drive them out. alpine could have a pretty baller set up if they actually tried to do it, and put in effort to maintain it.
 
its cause there are no mountains there,, no snow there.. and its preety much a shit hole.. also.. that asian allien and his crew of fruitbooters would scare everyone of with there ugly ass roller grinds

The only reason that this is good, to me, is that pros will get more money so they dont have to work jobs over the summer.

I dont want this to happen because the xgames and tony hawk and these big comps ruined skateboarding. So many kids skate for reasons besides it is fun. I like skiing right now that less people do it because everyone I ski with skis because they think it is fun. I dunno snowboarding got really popular and look how it is today. 1/10 people that really like snowboarding and have respect for skiers and 9/10 are snowboarders like the ones on the burton site who think "SkIeRs ArE fAGs It Is So EaSy" and they sit in landings and do nothing.
 
Riders list not announced yet, but it is the same people selecting the riders for this and X-Games, so expect it to be pretty much the same list.

And hey, I thought SNOW was the best thing that happened to freeskiing so far!
