Winter 2013 | Ski Reel

I don't know a ton about filming and such, but you definitely had some really cool shots in there, like the time lapse of the snow melting. You also have some good up and coming talent to work with.

I'm keeping my eye out for you guys in the future. I sense big things.
 
well i consider myself pretty well educated in filming and first thing i noticed is you talk behind the camera which kinda bothers me also there were some shots that had audio still in them that really didnt need to still be in there other than that there was ghosting in almost every shot, most shots that were not on the tripod were shaky, it dragged a good bit, and some shots seemed real awkward.
 
This was the biggest issue. Other than that I though the skiing was great and the filming/editing was solid too. Just curious, were you filming at 24 fps? The frame rate seemed pretty low at times even when there was barely any slow motion.
 
Yes i know I went wrong there... its because i filmed at both 30fps and 24 fps then rendered to 24fps. So all the 30fps shots now have ghost images. Im still trying to master my cameran and render settings!
 
tighten it up, (choose the best shots you got from the season for your "ski reel" and the shorter you can make it while keeping what you really want/need in the video, the better
 
First, make sure you are disabling resampling on all your clips. This can be done by selecting all the videos in your timeline (press D twice then drag a box around all your videos), right clicking, going to "switches," then checking "disable resample" at the bottom.

Once you have resampling disabled, you need to change your Deinterlace method. To do this, go to file, properties, then change "deinterlace method" from "None" to "Interpolate fields."

That second one might not be necessary but there's a 99% chance that one or both of these will fix the ghosting.
