Aussie NSers!!

Since winter is upon us I thought why not make a thread to keep all the goings on in the Aussie Freeski/Newschool scene for this winter.

Where are you all this winter? Seems to me most Aussies here are involved or work up at the resorts.

I'll be working at Falls this year for the first time (finally able to do a whole season) so super stoked to get involved. The mags are out in the newsagents, stores are starting to get busy in the cities, punters are looking forward to the WME screenings (boycott) and the dvd player is getting a workover.

What are your plans and goals?

Stoked for this season. Got a rail jam tomorrow and another rail jam at uni the next saturday. Prob ride perisher this year but thredbo for uni games is on the table.

Im still living in Whistler, the shred is sick... got an edit coming out soon..
Moving back home come June. See all the Perisher locals on the weekends.

Stoked for the coming season, hope everyone gets to spend a good amount of time on the white. Looks like most resorts should have something to play on come opening weekend, so let's smash it!!
I'll be in Falls for the season, as per usual, but will be visiting each and every resort to come shred, make an edit, and hang out with whoever is there!! We'll be cruising round with a few of the team, Jodan Cook, Ozie Toner, and Johnny Lipzker, so hopefully we'll get to shred with whoever wants to take a lap, and hopefully we can put together a banger edit from everyone's resort!!
On another front, I have been asked by NS to be a bit of a rep for them this season down under. This basically means getting involved in a lot of what goes on down our way, and also trying to get stores, brands, and resorts on board to market through NS and to really push the sport for the Southern Hemi. They are keen to get whatever they can for our season, so if you guys have anything going on, wanna report from a comp, whatever, let me know and we can make it pop!! Let's show the Northerm Hemi that we have some really legit stuff going on down here, and the more we push the sport in to the eyes of the public the more support and recognition we are going to have each and every season!!
Finally, Nine22 is selling out real fast, ESS has already sold all their stock (they will be re-stocking soon), and other stores are getting close too!! So get in to ya local shops and ask em if they have Nine22, and if they don't, tell em to get on board!! We might do a bit of a sale for opening weekend or something, might make it a special to you guys here on NS, we'll do something - so keep ya eyes peeled, and thanks to many of you for the support!!!!

I hear Soo Airtime will be happening again this year. That was a major story on the NS home page last year but it'd be pretty cool if there could be some updates throughout the season about it.

If they open the summit I'll go up on Monday for a day trip.
Baw Baw isn't worth it unless you're just going for the airbag. The drive is one of the worst I've ever done....a solid hour of mountain road that gets boring after a while because the road surface is so shit in places.
 
Buller has a Tuesday special for students....$50. It'll take about the same amount of time to get there and the drive is much nicer and there's a LOT more terrain than Baw Baw.
 
Thredbo park is gonna be mad this season. Everyone should get a few runs in on the airbag and the L line should be up early, as the builders are gonna farm snow from the get go.

We should start threads for both Perisher and Thredbo parks, so us sydney siders can stay informed...
 
I reckon the easiest thing to rep NS would be to get some stickers floating around. How this could be done I don't know but I've been wanting one on my new helmet for ages and can't get my hands on one.
 
If someone from Buller wants an NS sticker I have a few left.

I'll be at Buller most weekends tuning skis and managing a school team plus will be at Jindy a few times for some NSWIS stuff.
 
i have about 4 little NS stickers and 2 or 3 big ones left. Ill holla when Im down in jindy in the coming weeks. $1 for bigs $.50 for little ones.
 
Anyone from Jindabyne who has a place to stay for me? I am coming to Jindy on the 20th of July and i want to stay there for 3 days and i want to go skiing for 2 at least. I want a place to stay. Just a place on the floor will be fine. I will pay if necessary. I will shred with you if you want to :)Please let me know what you can do for me. All hostels are booked out right now but i would like to go skiing.Please downunder NSers help me out +K and Love to everyone who is helpfullRegards
 
Please help me out. I just need a place to sleep for 3 nights. I will pay if necessary. I am well behaved, quiet, clean and tidy and 19 years old. I am slim but tall and i can sleep anywhere (even concrete)I am good looking aswell if anyone cares. :)Please help me out NSers from Jindabyne. I want to come there for 3 Days (maybe longer if possible) maximum is a week though. I want to go skiing two days at least. Steezy_Street will pick me or us (if you want and if he can) up and take us to the train station to Perisher.

Can anyone clear the jumps in Leichhardt park at perisher? I can get the first just but knuckle second and third... i think every1 was having trouble. Front valley was alright but i wanted to try some new shit on smaller jumps and without 10000000 people watching.
