so today while driving on my way to work, i noticed a minor hankering for sustenance, and as i was passing by, i noticed a taco bell. as a poor college student, i immediately turned in, yearning for some cheap mexican-like food. as i perused the menu, looking for the highest calorie/dollar ratio, i discovered that the crunchwrap supreme 5$ box would be a good choice, at around 250 calories per dollar. with the pleasure of knowing that I had efficiently traded my good friend abe for a crunchwrap, a taco, and a burrito, i hence began consuming the said taco bellanalia.
As I am eating inside the restaurant, i notice that the food comes in a box. 'How wasteful, individually wrapped food, inside of a paper box that i am going to throw away along with like 6 or 7 little hot sauce packets when I'm done,' i think to myself. Despite my distaste for putting food that could easily have been put on a plate inside double redundant disposable packaging, i note that the box has some printing on it, and indeed a code. 'for what?' you ask. Well, my friend, it is for a contest.
bored and needing something to do as i munch on the low-quality south-of-the-border fare, i decide to humor myself by texting in the code on the box. 'who knows? i might even win a free taco, further increasing my calorie/dollar ratio, what luck that would be!' i happily imagine.
as soon as i type the code to the oddly-short phone number '22854,' my phone emits a vibration, which accompanies, what else, a text.
'fricken sweet', I think to myself, 'I'm a winner.' The free taco was as sure as mine.
I click the link, shaking with excitement of free taco bell. I recieve the shock of my life when this appears as i click the link
'holy poop' i think to myself. i hadn't won a free meat-filler food item, i had won a Playstation 4, and better yet, i'm going to get it before anyone else does, on november 12th.
needless to say, i was disappointed that my calorie/dollar ratio wouldn't be going up, but excited by the fact that i will now have accumulated another fine piece of sony electronic equipment.
