Windows Media Side Window?!

Sometimes when I watch a video there is a windows media window that pops up on the left side of my screen. It is slow and crappy, and often has errors. How do I make that window go away and have the acuall Windows Media Player Program Play the video.

-Internet options-> Advanced

-scroll down to multimedia

-check 'Don't play multimedia items in the media bar'
