Who's going to upgrade to windows 10 when it becomes available?

If anyone hasn't heard yet, Microsoft is planning to release a Free upgrade option to anyone with Windows 7 or 8. Just wondering who is going to take advantage of this offer and will be claiming their free upgrade. I've already registered two of my computers for the upgrade when it comes out. I dunno whether I'm going to like the new windows build, but it should be pretty decent.

I dunno how long this free upgrade offer is going to last for, but if you were wanting a free upgrade I would do it before Windows 10 is released just to be sure you get it.

Windows 10 is going to be released on July 29th 2015.

I registered for it, I'm excited to be able to play system link between Xbox and PC

I'm gonna take the chance because I made a windows 7 restore disc, I suggest making one just in case

I'm gonna stick to Windows 7. Unless there's anything crazy awesome about 10, Windows 7 works really well for almost everything I need/want to do with everything else covered by Ubuntu.

I see no point in upgrading, and I'm not saying I use pirated software, but I wouldn't be surprised if many pirated programs stop working on 10.

I'm keeping 7 on the machines that have them, but those that have 8 are definitely getting the upgrade. Windows 8 has to be the most epic failure piece of shit of an operating system ever launched. Possibly worse than vista? Fuck, I hate 8 sooo much.

I read somewhere that the free upgrade will be available for a year after release. If thats true Im waiting to upgrade for at least a few months.

I actually just read that on their website now. It's Here: https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/windows-10-faq I believe it's under "Is the upgrade really free" part which should be second down.

I think I'm still going to go for it right off the bat. Seems like they have fixed the problems they had with windows 8. Plus they are getting rid of explorer and replacing a few other applications I think that run in the background. I hope it makes my laptop run a little faster or at least a little smoother. I'm probably just going to back my computer up first and revert to windows 7 if I don't like it.

My internet is pretty bad, so I'll probably wait until I'm back at school. On the plus, any driver/compatibility issues should be worked out and make it a smooth process
