Windells Summer 2012 Edit

Just wrapped up an edit of my favorite shots from Windells this summer and would love feedback on it.

I realize the song is a bit out there and some of you might hate it, but this edit was just for fun and I've been wanting to use it for a long time.

As I said, critiques would be appreciated

wow that was amazing, i usually cant watch through a whole windells edit cuz they are all so similar but that one defiantly stood out, loved the skateboarding and biking too
 
man i loved it

long lens glides really stood out to me

my regret was not using my tripod enough at coc. killer man
 
That was beautiful! The sliding shots really make the difference.

One note: the audio during the last jump montage dipped when the ski sounds came in. I ran into this issue at one point, where some dynamic audio filter was applied in compressor (I think that's what you use?). The filter set a threshold and then when any audio peaked, the entire track would get softer. I'm not sure whether this was intentional or not on your end. Either way, it stuck out a lot to me while watching.

Everything else was great!
 
Thanks! It was not intentional, I was trying to figure out why that was happening. It automatically applies the filter?
 
I'm not entirely sure. I just remember going back into Compressor trying to figure out what was happening. Ultimately, I think there was a box checked under the filters tab for audio. I ended up re-compressing the video a few different times and it ultimately went away.

Sorry I can't be of more help, I was just as confused when it happened. The problem disappeared as randomly as it appeared at the time...
 
It does make sense because I know that Cam's landing on the 2 on 4 off (when the song level drops the first time) was peaking for sure, but it sounded about right to me so I left it.
