How hard is it to attain a job from windells? Is the application process real tough? If it is, what are some camps that are a little easier to work at?
 
windells and tim windell arent bad if you understand that youre there to work and not be at summer camp. yeah its a good time and they want everyone to have fun but youre there to help the campers have the best time of their life. not to improve your won personal skills and film a banger summer edit. the sage employees have a combined almost 20 years of experience at windells. we loved it there and thats why we continue to work very closely with them every summer.

the best way to get hired is to be close with someone who currently works there, personal recommendations are huge. in addition to that you should start applying in february and dont be hesitant about following up. call as often as possible. it doesnt mean your pestering them, it means youre passionate about working there.
 
This is pretty spot on. I would highlight the suggestion of applying early. They attend the job fair at SIA at the end of January and that really kicks off the hiring process for them. Wait too long and you'll be lost in the sea of applications that come in later on. Personal recommendations from a current employee, relevant past experiences and persistence are key to landing a gig at camp. It's very competitive, but if you manage to land a job you're gonna be in for a pretty awesome summer!
 
most employees come back every summer so they typically only need to higher 5 to 10 new people every year out of a staff of about 70 (during the peak). So its pretty tough to get one of those positions unless like i said above you know someone who is in a position to get you a job very well. but really any way you can show them that you are incredibly motivated to work there is good. they want positive people that can work hard.
 
I got a job there knowing zero people, and I attribute it too my resume.
