im 15 now (just turned 15) and im thinking about spending all my hard-earned money on a Windells session next summer. i was wondering if this is a wise idea or if i should save up and get a car with my money. im honestly convinced that i should blow it all on Windells but my douche-friend is telling me (insert gay voice here): no luc, get a car. youll never get anywhere with a fun-filled totaly worth it week at Windells! get a car instead, like im gonna do. but i just generally respond Fuck You, homo. so this is my dilemna because i still need some convincing that its a good idea. i know i still have 1 year left before driving and another before i can drive alone so i think i should go to Windells and then and then get a car so i can say to my fag-friend Hey douchebag, we both have a car and i went to Windells and im 10000x better than you now, LIVE WITH YOUR REGRETS!!! advice?

go to windells still 2 years til you can drive your self around and you can always buy a decent car for under 1000

1. Please use less offensive words so casually, today's youth does not realize the effect hateful words have on society and others around them, even when used in a joking manner. Douchebag, fucker and asshole are OK, b/c those aren't hateful and offensive, using "gay" and "homo" just makes you sound ignorant and no one will take you seriously. (public serive announcement over)

2. go to Windell's, it'll be the time of your life. memories and fun trump material things always.

"funnest place on earth"

ive never been but it says it on the sign i drive by like once a week. you cant really argue with "funnest place on earth"

Nobody knows how much money you have right now, or what your income in the future is going to be like. Are you going to have a job, is it going to pay super shitty, or just shitty? The only person that can make a logical decision out of this is you. It really boils down to how much you want a car, or when you want to be able to buy a car. Some people might hate on me, trust me I would definitely want to ski, but you do need to look to the future and not just the present when it comes to money. I always saved lots of money from my jobs and I have some friends that would just blow every paycheck. Then later on I have a couple G's in the bank and they have $100 tops and are like OMG HOW DO YOU GET SO RICH!?!?! I guess I went off on a mini rant, but like I said, you are the only one who knows your situation. I'd suggest going to summer camp if you can afford it.

save get the car and move out west when you grad. with your saved money for an actually winter instead of some park for 1000s during the summer. a car is a much better then a week at windells

Hey dude, so I was sort of in the same boat until my parents did offer to help pay for my car. I am not trying to sound stuck up in any way with that either. They almost didn't do that for me and I am pretty fortunate that they did but my point is, if they didn't I would still be going out to Momentum this summer. I am 17 and I have had my license for quite some time but I was willing to put getting a car on hold because progression in skiing for myself is so important to me and I am probably not going to get the chance to do the camp again. Point is, you are still very young. Go out and get one or two jobs this summer. Before you know it, if you are wise with you money, you will have a couple thousand and you can put that towards a car when you are 16 or when you turn 17. The question is, how much do you love skiing and what do you want to do with it? If you are not that passionate about it, don't waste the money. But if you want to do something with skiing or in the ski industry, it will give you great insight on your goals for the future. Think about it but I say go to camp and have the time of your life.

Cars are great, but ultimately they end up costing you more money once you own them. If you have the chance to go to camp now, go, and save up for a car when you get back. Everyone gets a car eventually, but everyone does not get the chance to go to a summer ski camp.

Very cool that you didn't say "omgz go to COC".

Anyways it really comes down to how much you want to ski and how much you want a car.

yah i think im gonna go with this. im the most passionnate skier i know and progressing in my favorite sport is my top priority. my bros 18 now and he doesnt have a car yet but hes getting along fine, i think that camp would be way funner. btw, i did my math and i can probly afford a session after my summers done, throwin in a few side-jobs with my ''real'' job.

Sounds perfect. Glad you are figuring it all out. For some reason I thought you meant this summer and didn't see the next summer part until now but still, I would go with camp. Just work hard and the reward will really pay off. You will eventually get a car but a lot of kids would kill to go to a camp like Windells. If you work not only towards something like going to a session of camp but for other things you are passionate about, you will really go places. Basically what I am trying to say is rather than having your parents pay your way in, its great that you are working for it. Have an amazing time when you go!

Windells is amazing and why do u need a car if ur friends getting 1 just make him drive u everywhere thats what i did

MHHSC is great! Going back this summer. And the caoches are really chill, esspecially Sean and Nolan (see montage's mammoth edit if you dont know who they are)

windells = fun memories

1st car= probably a rust bucket + gas $ + insurance $ + $300ish of testing

cherish your youth!

windells doesnt cost NEARLY as much money as a car while you are there like it cost a lot, flying, the camp itself, snackshack if ur hungry, but that isnt nearly as much as gas, repair, the car itself, etc.

+ dude ur 15 years old you dont need a car right away and uve got practecally a year and a half of so get a job that doesnt even have to pay well

but if u get a job that isnt so great and u have a car it would be a lot harder to go to windells

that is my post most likely is confusing

me too!

to the thread creator, definatly windells, take bus's or somthing if you need to get to the ski hill

A car is sick but it just makes you spend more money. Instead of bumin rides people bum them off u. If I could do it over again I wish i would have done something like that.

as someone who probably isn't going to get either next summer,

go to windells.

you can always bum the car off your parents and stuff.

Make the responsible decision Luc, go to Windells. Besides, if said friend has a car, why would you need one? lol. If you spend that money on Windells, you won't regret it, I'm sure.
