Hey guys. I am going to windells this summer. I have heard rumors that the weather is iffy. Thoughts??? im going to session 3 which is june 27 to july 4. What should i expect. This is a newb question. but i would like some examples of good or bad weather at mt. hood. ive seen edits when its rainy and cloudy which would suck a lot.

Hood can always be iffy with the weather. It will be sunny one day and raining other days. I would just be ready to ski in whatever. I went to MHSSC one year and we had a pow day in June. Just be ready for anything. Hood is not always sunny days like in the videos.

Youll tend to see wind and rain a decent amount before July 4th and after that its usually pretty sunny. Mostly though its all about luck.

what andy said, expect some of the nicest spring skiing conditions you ever have seen. Also expect some days when the weather is worse than anywhere else in the lower 48. It can be fuuuucked up

Yeah be prepared for anything. Sunscreen will help just in case if its sunny trust me.... you can get really really burnt easily.

Quoting this for emphasis. I keep getting sunburnt really bad, even with sunscreen on cloudy days. If you burn easily like me make sure to bring a face tube.

^ even the regular 50 SPF isn't enough for me this time of year. I've been applying a base of the regular stuff and then using a reflective sunblock with zinc on top. Reapplying after a couple of hours is essential. I also wear a face tube or 2 and pop my collar.

Yeah the only way to really stop it is with a face tube. One time me and my buddies stopped on top of palmer to take your usually instagram palmer shot. We sat up there for about 15 minutes directly in contact with the sun. No facetube or sunscreen and my face was just red leather........ So lucky i didn't burn.

You will NEVER know with oregon weather... anyone who tries to guess it will most likely be wrong bc it can be 40's and raining one day then 80 and sunny a few later and then start snowing again all within the course of week! thats oregon for ya....
