So i wanna build a winch for urban! I have about 800 saved up and have welding equipment at my house i just need some plans. K+ for any!
 
Just built a frame out of square aluminum stock, you would probably want it to be a square about 2.5x2.5x2.5. Weld a mount inside the frame for the winch that us secure. I would also put some points to attach chains to, then you can anchor the chains to a secure object so the winch will not move. You may need to adjust the gearing on the winch as well, most winches go extremely slow. If you have basic welding stuff, $800 will be plenty
 
we managed to make one for $600 using the same design, sqaure aluminuim, ill post a pick when i can.
