WinAmp problem...please help

So i just downloaded winamp and tried to watch some of my movies on it and holy shit
the sound is all staticy and really loud for some reason it sounds very distorted like when you overload a microphone or something. Does anyone know how to fix this or what is wrong? +++++K

just use a different video player like cccp's media player classic. i only use winamp for my tunes, the video is crap.

Good choice going with winamp. it isn't a memory hog like itunes, and it sounds better (IMO)

it sounds way better. i've never used itunes (except on friend's comps) because it's apple.
