Will you go if they are open 4/21-22?

I would be that guy. I usually ride 7 springs, but I have herd real good things about boulder. I just haven't had a chance to drive up there to ski yet this year.

I will make the drive for a flat box. If by some miricle they open this weekend (even a small set up), let me know. I would pay for sure.

This is not cool at all.

Papasteeze.....on behalf of many people let me say.....that you have NO idea what the f*ck you are talking about. Stop acting like the god of skiing. You have zero idea as to what is involved in operating a successful ski area. On a side note, everytime I see you somewhere you are running your mouth...not skiing. I see you take one or two runs then click out of your skis and start flapping your gums. Grow up. Quit living vicariously through your kids. Ski when you can, where you can...and stop stop your continuous unfounded bitching.

It baffles me... The guy has the time and fortitude to post, but doesn't offer any solutions. People like that are part of the problem because they contribute nothing to solutions.

papasteeze is nips dad.... i dont know if he even has a job haha, i think he just lives off his sons winnings

jk, but how did he get rich enough to get a hummer

dude hummers dont mean rich. lots of people down here in the ghetto have hummers with 24's. they just dont have their priorities straight, aka child support, insurance, etc.

papa's got the skills to pay the bills so he gets to buy big toys.

holy crap - I just got blasted by a couple more BB people.. I am starting to see a little bit of why and what happened to the Park Logic guys.

It's the don't tell me how to do my job syndrome.

Boulder stoke is fading fast...

However, with respect to the Park Logic guys I have seen examples elsewhere that they can be pretty tough to deal with. There are a lot of people who will not ride their bikes at Diablo Freeride Park solely because they run that place, and to use that park as an example, they built a great thing but then just kinda sat back and didn't maintain it. They developed the trails, and developed a large nationally known contest, but other than that they don't really seem to do a lot to keep the place nice for everyone else who ultimately are the ones who pay the bills.

I don't debate that you can definitely run a business this way, but it is my opinion that a good operation caters to all of its customers and not just the people doing a big comp for one weekend.

I understand what you are saying Tre. But I also know what I am feeling. I wonder out loud, in here, was this what those guys were subjected to?

Edited in: That Crayfish guy is not part of BB - but talks like he is... wierd..

Marketing and promotion of events is something I have been involved with on a much larger scale, with a lot more at risk for many years. I tend to take a can-do attitude towards things. If there is one thing I can't stand it is being told that something can't be done or it won't work.... Especially on things that haven't been done before and on things that have all the indications that they can be successful.

Understand what is driving my motivation, it is to see a world class park in our area. certainly we have the population to support it. Jesse seems to want it, but isn't saying how he is going to get there. I know they aren't going to get there as long as he and huff are doing the grooming for example. Ian is a good guy but I will leave that at that.

am I pushing? you bet! I tried the diplomatic approach. Sad, but this kind of stuff seems to get results, also gets me hated on a lot, but does seem to produce..

haha i was kidding, we had a hummer last year but sold it, bad mileage, big, etc.

so yea, i know hummers dont mean rich.
