Will Wesson on Saga?

orage dropped him a while ago. Now, just cuz he's wearing a saga jacket doesn't mean he's sponsored by them. He could be wearing ray bans, doesn't mean he's sponsored by them
 
All these little sidesnacks on ns think if a pro wears one product from a company they are sponsered. Not how it works

I think its pretty obvious that this is not the case. Since Will was dropped from Orage its possible he finds a new outerwear sponsor - this thread was created to see if it was actually the case.

No it doesn't. Not one bit. Not at all. Khai is using Line skis atm, doesn't mean he's sponsored by them. Dom Laporte used ON3P skis one time at hood, doesn't mean he was sponsored by them. Joss is riding armadas, doesn't mean he's sponsored by them.

Using a product does not equate to being sponsored. Capiche?

I can't confirm this but I have not seen that he is wearing anything else besides jiberish. He doesn't mention anything about UA anymore. I have a feeling he left them or got dropped. If anyone else has more info that would be great.
 
Well as fun as these threads are...

Will is a good friend of ours for many years. When we found out he wasn't going to be with Orage anymore we told him if he ever needed jackets, pants, etc. he's more than welcome to have. No obligation to promote Saga if he doesn't want to, just some new gear that fits him for the season. We would love to have Will on Saga as he is one of the best rail skiers (maybe ever) and a genuinley awesome person. Unfortunately we already have a very stacked and established team and didn't want to bring him on, not be able to support him to the level he deserves, and limit his options for finding new sponsors if they come up.

This isn't the first time we've had this arrangement with pro skiers. We like to think if the person feels and looks good in their gear it will elevate the entire ski industry image. "A rising tide floats all boats"

i feel like armada used to do this a good amount. people would see so and so who was between sponsors using armadas, and think, "hm, well if a pro who has no contractual obligations chooses to use armadas in the meantime, they must be good!" or something like that
