I took the liberty to upload Wicked to Vimeo for everyone to enjoy. If anyone from SAS Flms or Neil wants me to take it down, no problem. I believe everyone should be able to enjoy the best ski movie that came out of the east coast.

I feel like the number of people who saw this when it was released is like people claiming they were at woodstock. 80% of its viewership has been in the nostalgic vein. Nothing wrong with that though... everyone should see it, people don't even realize this was the movie of the year when it came out, and no disrespect to the athletes whatsoever, but it was that good basically because of Neil. Can't think of another instance where the filmmaker was so visibly crucial to a ski movie.

"You can start singing a happy song and it strikes a groove, you know, it will strike a groove and people get happy and everything, but the sad songs get the reaction."

Overall, I still enjoy Rainville, Colby and Heed the best. Neil was/is a genius and Wicked is one of the rare occasions in extreme sports videos where you can see that there was a vision behind a production instead of being a year in-year out annual ski porn bash with the music switched up a bit.

I don't think anything with Dimmu could be pulled off as well as Colby's segment.

OH MY GOD....I LOVE YOU!!! (homo or no-homo, I don't even care right now, I've been wanting to see this again for years now).

and i second whoever said alex balsen...amazing style

damn this brings back memories. i remember seeing alex balsen shred the fuck out of the wv park, kid was so good

and yeah, dan kiesel was nasty too. never saw him in real life though

Kiesel, Stupac at like 9 years old, Heed, Rainville, and Balsen all killed it.

Way too sick. Learn up kids

I for sure hope they keep it up. Like JD said, people watch it out of nostalgia from time to time. I'll need to watch it again in a few months.

And since they don't sell copies of it anymore (as far as I know), it could just be Neil's gift to skiing, again. With the first gift being him making the movie.

SAS's Facebook page (Neil?) said they're stoked it was uploaded so I'm assuming it's there to stay. thanks a lot to whoever put it up!

Hell yes. I remember watching this movie when I was just getting in to freeskiing and being so damn stoked. You're the man for putting this up.

for non-vimeos we tossed on YouTube. Check out the Original Chronics on Justin Gillern! Ski the East!

Waiting a looooong time for this!! I haven't seen any segment other than THeed's in at least 5 years.

So goddamn ill, amazing intros/b-roll and fun editing. Really a complete package, and a cool artistic vision/direction.

And, hot damn, Lame Downer MURDERS.

Easily one of my favorite ski flicks, and probably the one that really inspired me and motivated me more than any other.....although I feel like Ski Movie III changed the game for me...C.R.'s part to CNN's Invincible? Stoooop.

anyone who still has a working copy of the DVD should watch it with neils directors commentary. he gives the whole storyline of the movie and how each segment progresses into the next, its great. my copy is worn out from watching it a gillion times
