well , this weekend i was at stevens pass , and throwing switch 180 's over waterfall .

and my friends told me to go for a switch 540 , so i was like okay !

and right when i hit the lip i pussied out !

why do i do this ? any self-confidence tips ?

if you can do switch 5s on other stuff then all you need to do is work up, like do a switch 3 or a forward 7 first to make sure your comfortable, if you know you'd usually get it first try then all i can suggest is you do them more as a first trick.

allright thanks man ,

i think ill go up this weekend and do switch 180 , then switch 3 , then the switch 5 !

because ive don them before ... just no that big .

true true .

good point .

most ski bums , dont think about whats going to happen when they get hurt !

glad you do though !

dude it was the same for me going from sw 3 to sw 5 just close your eyes just after the lip and spin as hard as you can... that was they way a got it down haha

ya man not the best of advice. Your body is allways gonna tell you no before you try a new trick or somthing on a new feature. you have to overcome that and use it as an advantage!

It's not that big of a jump, but you just have to be comfortable with switch 5s. Best to start that on the upper jumps if you havent already. Get very comfortable riding switch and work in increments; switch 1 to 3 to 5. So many people try that shit and end up on their back because it's different.

switch 5s are kinda difficult, I never really had a problem pussing out when it came to trying them, but it did take me about 3 months to finally start landing them consistently.
