Why these big clothes?

now when i read this i do actually sound like a whining 12 year old spoiled kid.

This thread was gonna be about why people wear baggy clothes. That money/mom thing got a bit out of hand and i'm sorry if someone quits ns because of this thread.

I'm out.

Baggy clothes tend to hide movements which make you look more smooth i guess. With small/skinny clothes your going to see every bending of the knees and etc.

hey dumbass, he used the correct form of your. it's only you're if it stands for you are. your is possessive. you're and asshole and hypocrite.

that said, baggy isn't better. it's just a choice in style. if your parents don't want you to have something baggy, just find something that fits and quit bitching

Big stuff doesn't have to be expensive. If you want to look steezy get a big hoodie for like 20$and tell your mom that baggy is the style and you dont want to get made fun of out there.

One of the times he said "your" it should have been the contraction "you're." So, you know...

I see this thread is no longer about helping a fellow skier and now about chastising each other for accidental grammar mistakes.

I will go on record saying calling someone out for a grammar mistake basically says you have nothing positive or even witty to contribute. It's the lowest form of comeback burn.

So agree! Not to mention making the kid feel like spoiled brat for needing a new jacket since he grew out of his old one. I commend him for paying half for a new one

And seriously if you were a kid his age, and your parents are willing to help you out, why the hell wouldn't you take that help? I know when i was that age, i bought almost all my own gear, but when i got offered help from my mom for things, i didn't turn it down. Who would?

Dont be butthurt because you think this kid is a spoiled brat, and you worked for all your shit. Well sorry your parents didn't do as well as his or didn't want to help support your skiing. That SUCKS!

Doesn't mean he still doesn't appreciate what he is receiving. He said he works, so he obviously doesnt just take everything for granted. When your 14/15 getting a lot of hours is hard, you have to find a ride every time you work and less places are willing to hire you. When winter rolls around and it is time to get new gear, it is expensive. Makes sense he would run out of $, I did.

TLDR: Back off on kids getting help from their parents. You don't see people calling about kids for being spoiled brats for being put through college without any debt to themselves, how is this any different?

That's exactly right! There is no better ! Simply fashion style ! If your good, doesn't matter what you wear ! Op , I hope your parents say nobfuckin way ! Or buy it yourself ! I know my parents would say no way in hell! The jacket you have fits you like it's intended to , and it keeps I warm ! But that's just the way i grew up . My jackets came from k Mary and hand me downs ! Dressing like a thug doesn't make you cool! Being cool makes you cool .

Big clothes are easier to move in and make sure you won't get snow down your back...definitely a good thing. Tight jackets suck, hard to move in

Came here to post pretty much this. Only thing I would add is just about everyone who claims to not give a shit about what their gear looks like is full of shit. Sure some may care more than others, but everyone is trying to look "cool". Especially since skiing tends to have a hey look at what I can do mentality.

Big hairy deal. Why are you guys ragging on the kid for asking for suggestions? Either answer his question or at least be polite about correcting his grammar. The kid's 15. Most 15 year olds can't discern the difference between your and you're anyways. No need to be a dick about it and derail the thread from providing help.

Holy shit are you seriously that dumb? English isn't my first language either, but at least I know the damn difference. And you're the one correcting me? ''your 15 buy your own shit!'' = ''you own'' 15 buy your own shit

''you're 15 buy your own shit!'' = you are 15 buy your own shit

Which one sounds more sensible to you? Or are you one of those ''who needs to know the difference between your and you're when you got SWAG!''- kind of people. Go to school you embarrassing fuck.

And how was I being rude about his grammar? I just simply posted a pic implying that he was wrong?

Besides, you're the one calling others ''assholes'' and ''dumbasses', with no reason at all. The irony is stunning.

Kid asks for advise but also says his parents are helping him out. Newschoolers get jealous and freaks out, saying, "get a job!" And, "you're greedy." Completely diverting away from the original subject. There's a reason so many people think this website is a joke.

This site used to be fun.

Regarding the rebuttals that your mom made, you can still see what anyone is doing in the air, just show her a B&E episode. No matter what the size of the jacket, it will be the same price as it is in a smaller size. Baggier clothes keep me warm during those below zero east coast ski days, they let me move around more, and they're comfortable IMO.

Wow I can't believe his grammar was wrong! Two pages isn't enough to get the point across, lets make this at least 10. After 10 pages of correcting spelling and saying he is spoiled and to work a full time job at 15, we can give him advice, sound good?

Stop fucking reaming the guy out and give him some advice you assholes.

OP ignore all the idiots in this thread and look at Saga and MaryO's advice, along with a few others. There is some good content in this thread if you look for it!

llooooolllllllll god do people think before they post absolutely stupid shit on ns i want 20 grand, i need help convincing my mom to buy me baggy pants ahahahahahaha

in the summertime i worked at the batting cages/mini golf/driving range. during the winter i bussed tables and washed dishes at a restaurant after skiing

Stupid threads like these make me more in favor of the minimum post count before n00bs can post threads.

OP touches himself at night.

skateboarders first started wearing baggy jeans to dwarf body movement, making small position adjustments hard to detect, creating a smoother, cleaner trick.

Why is your mom buying you gear? Save some money and go out and buy whatever you want...As long as it is TREW gear. Seriously though don't waste you money on anything else.
