why not? why buy a pair of fat skiis? because at the right time and place, you have more fun. of corse its still good to have your twin tips and your racing skiis, but the fattys make the backcountry more fun. its the same way with pot, in the right situation, you just have more fun

what I dont understand is why u would smoek cigarettes or do hard drugs? for some people its just a getaway dude....u can't judge anyone on what they wanna do...I dont smoke weed really, but just if thats what u wanna spend money on its cool with me, cause then I dont!

 
Yeah, you dont drink alchohol for the taste, at least not your first time.

Being high is just fun, things kinda just slow down, you can either be in your own world or talkin it up with your freinds. Its a different state of mind, more relaxed, most of the time everything is happening all chill around you, aye its just fun. Once youve smoked up you know. Its not for everyone, a lot of ppl use it to escape their problems, and yeah when your high they go away sometimes but once you come down theyre still there and still a problem, nothing gets fixed. So if your smokin cuz of that then you should do some thinkin. Smokin makes some situations more fun, its just a plant.

It is the same thing as drinking a beer.

when you are tired and want to relax, some people just take a beer and some other smoke pot. and since pot is harder to find then alcool and that peoples on potare less violent, I,ll say that people who are smoking it up when they want to relax are better then those who takes some beer to relax and get drunk and start causing problem.

I used to smoke pot.... but the high it gave me... wasn't really worth it. Maybe it was just my social conscience getting at me, but I don't like the thought of an entire society addicted to substance abuse. I mean, what kind of stuff are our children going to be smoking, and what kind of effects will it have. I stopped smoking because I no longer felt the need to 'fit in' with my friends who did drugs, and also because I realized that if I really wanted to get something out of my life, I was going to go and get it for myself, and not let a drug get happiness for me.

Also, a lot of research has been going into the use of marijuana, and scientists have just recently found that the presence of THC in the body of the mother or even the father of a child can affect the mental and learning abilities of that child, and also testosterone levels. They're finding out new things every day about the stuff we put into our bodies...

this all makes sense when you are high its way to hard to debate why you get high when youre not stoned, i figured out when i was stoned that youre high is way better when youre fit for some reason, dunno why but it all made sense at the time, but for now all i can think of is that its fun to be high

Why smoke weed? Why ski? Why do anything? It's for the experience. I know that when I am 70, an old man chillin on the front porch, that I won't have any regrets about my life. Life is about doing everything that you can fit into the short time that you are here. If smoking weed really doesn't affect anything else that I do and also is fun, then why not. Most of the time I ride better after blazing a bowl on the chair ride up. I wouldn't recomend it to middle schoool kids or to even young high school kids. But, on the other hand I would rather see a kid super high than rowdy drunk. Weed is made out to be such a terrible and life altering drug, when in reality it is just portrayed that way because the government has no way to make any profit off of it's sales.

roght on bro, but you got the last part backward. you know how much money the goverment is taking out of your paycheck to fight the 'war on drugs'? the'war on drugs' is a multi-billion dolar industry, nevermind the fact that most industry giants would fall because of the better and cheaper hemp products that would be legal. have you ever noticed that only the popualar drugs are illigal? shrooms are illigal, but nutmeg(if 10-15 grams are consumed) can produce the same halucagenic effects. there are things all around the house you can use to trip, none of which are illigal, and tons of legal drug alternatives you can buy online. the difference is the popularity...if not many people use a drug, there is not going to be a lot of money going to the goverment for the inforcement of the laws, therefore it is not profitable for them to outlaw them. once you think about it, it starts to make sense.

But, yeah, if drug are outlawed, then only outlaws will use drugs. but, the 'War on Drugs' is rathr pointless. you just can't stop something like that. Possesion is a victimless crime. Traficking (sp?) is not. There are victims in that buisness. Legalize drugs all let people do what they will. Of they want to destroy themselve, that''s their biz. I think most of the crime is with getting this crap out to the marketplace. Anyways, thanks for reading this far, I know I'm going in circles (but its so fun), but, I belive that legalization is the answer. Well, depends on what you want the end effect to be. If you want a peaceful, free system, then I belive that legalzation is the answer. But, if you're a narrow-minded right-winger (and we all know how few of those are in politics) then, I belive that there is no solution; you can't force people to do (or not do) things by force. If the government was smart they would tax weed like they tax cigarettes. They would make so much money and it would open up jobs for thousands of people, but weed is the 'devil.' There was a special on the history channel about hemp and weed it was really unbiased and informative. If it is ever on tv again you should watch it. They talk about how the main reason for the illegalizaion of weed was mainly the doing of one politition(A gov. of cal. I think). His campaign lacked interest so he came up with the idea to announce that weed was the root of all evils (teen pregnancy, ludeness, prostitution, fighting, ect.)It worked and he campaigned to outlaw the drug, he won the election and with that came his new law. No more pot.

ok well another thing with ending prohibition is american famrers could actually grow hemp as a normal cash crop. Hemp can be used in soooo much stuff, creates higher quality paper than trees and recycles better also. if it was taxed ill bet it would be harder to get as a minor. right now i could call up countless people and almost immediatley get some weed, but i couldnt do the smae with alcohol. I really dont see the harm in making it legal.

Weed doesn't really inhibit your driving, infact unless you are super ripped you probably drive better when you are high. I'm sure after like 10 bong rips it wouldn't be the best idea to drive, but alcohol is much more inhibiting than weed. The people who haven't smoked before really wouldn't understand. The fact of the matter is that stupid right wing polititions decided to make a war on drugs and ignorantly turned their back on a very valuable resource. What are Canada's laws concerning weed? California is pretty leaniant about punishment you have to have over an oz. to get into any trouble.

The guy who got busted was probably slinging alot of weed. The guys that I have heard of getting busted only delt with pounds and qp's. I could be wrong though. The cops up in tahoe are pretty cool about weed at parties and stuff.

It's kind of pathetic if you can't enjoy an activity that is as fun as skiing without toking up on the chairlift. Nailing a trick or skiing a rowdy couloir gives you a natural high anyway. If you need to depend or even occasionally use weed to make you have a better time skiing, you are not doing something right, and should try getting back to the happiness that came when you started skiing.
