although ingnorant as to how the ski industry works, i think there is an obvious way to make a team video. euro riders ride in europe. have a couple filmers follow them around all year. north american riders ride in north america. they can just drive up and down the west coast. backcountry jumps all look the same. you dont need to fly your entire team to scandanavia to do them. at the end of the year, the filmers send the footage to the editor and voila, a team video

it seems like this stage of life for a lot of people around our age is like when you are playing a video game and you beat the Final Boss, only to find out that it was just a decoy Final Boss and the real Final Boss is ten times stronger. and you used all of your life and special powers on the decoy.
 
no matter how much you simplify it, it still costs $. expenses come from everything, and you still gotta pay for the filming / editing, and getting those DVDs made up. and since it is only one company footing the bill, it is not always worth what they put into it. not to say they aren't possible, but there are reasons for the rarity of "team videos" in skiing.

 
I love the vid format that we have now, just to have a variety of skier. I have two(free) team vids, which is just footage from other movies put together by the team, and Kris Osteness.

The reason theres no team videos is because production companies are perfectly content with going to 4 events every year, sitting on a chair and filming every pro that goes by, then editing 150 30 second segments for every pro that ever lived. VOILA! ready fire aim!
