!WHY LINE WHY!

not sure

in fact i havent seen anything with skogen in a while

i think he moved to india and became a monk

If I remember correctly he broke his leg and was never really able to get back to the top end. No doubt about it though, he was one of the most influential skiers of the late 90s early 00s.

i love all these positive comments. it should be warrantied. no doubt about it, if u cant put a mouting plate in a ski u should forsee this happening. line last year the bombbbb. this year not so much

you should really be quiet or stop reading so much into what has been said on ns in the last season.

line has so many fans!

sucks about your lizzies though... lots of people seem to love them and you don't hear too many people bitching about them maybe it's just cos' there are less people riding them, not sure!

i'm gonna go ahead and say that this isn't a reason to not buy line though, this season i snapped a volkl ski with 1 or 2 park days on it... i would love another pair of volkls.

the customer service is a good enough reason to avoid buying though. i guess they need to sort that but then i rarely ever have good customer service over the phone. try writing direct to jason or another manager. you usually either get ignored or sorted out by going straight to the top, worth a try maybe?

no no no dont do that.

i hav seen a few bindings rip out of the elizabths and they are all salomons.

mount em up with the looks again. that bindings wont come out bc of the screw pattern.

If you're referring to the old look pivot binding, it actually will rip out because of the screw pattern in the heel. A MAJOR factor in why they did away with that binding, and they were trying desperately to get someone to buy the design off them. The new PX is far less likely to rip out though.

Don't forget that Jason is pretty much the only "owner" you see posting on NS to explain his decisions to us.

Don't know why he bothers though with the amount of bitching that goes on.

GIVEhead, ive seen these skis and many like them. its simple, its called a defective ski. the core is shit. i really like line, but they have got to handle some material and manufacturing issues. any binding would have ripped out of this weak/defective core.

smuggs is the kind of skier that line needs to apprectiate and honor its warranty.

Get over this issue, and yourself.

fairview if look did away with the pivot because of the screw pattern on the heel. dont you think they would just change the baseplate and keep the old pivot heel??? save a shit ton of cash on all of that r&d on a new binding.

Believe me or not, I don't really care. I never said it was the only reason they got rid of it, only that it was a major factor. But it is the most commonly ripped out binding on the market.

yea man put on salomons for sure...like the same ones that pollard uses...that way u cant blame it on the bindings...

uve seen tons of volkls blow apart?? interesting...what volkls (other than the dogens)

Dude dont take that shit so personally. I only said things that I read here on NS I always said that. And its true, u only hear people complaining and almost never saying how good a product is. Thats all true, but if I wanna buy a new ski I will rather go to 9ward, armada, 4front etc... coz I hear less bad things about them. Dont take it bad coz I dont mean it that way

well, he did. not sure if he does as in presently.. i guess my satement was politically incorrect.

^he might have at some point... maybe for photos to advertise the binding... but in every recent picture i've seen of him he uses old school salomon race stock w/out brakes.

So what happened to line? It seems that Line has gone down the shitter. They can only support two people on their team, what happened?

yessss... be advised. this is a network of skiers, by sharing here we are sharing thoughts. most of the thoughs shared here on line lately is how bad they are sucking out.

if my post or other posts sway a potential buyer...just one from buying line, them not warrantying my shit will be totally worth it.

and why hasnt someone from line responded to this thread. usually they are all over the hate threads in a few days backing themselves up. maybe they couldnt afford the bill for the internet this month??

^quit being stupid dude. Everyone that has any sort of sense knows that quality of production can be compromised when changing location of production and especially the workforce. Thus, you can attribute any decrease in quality to relocation in china. Line has always been a great company when it comes to customer service. Sucks you got the short end of the stick, but maybe you shoulda used different bindings... and even if it was the core... get over it. You should try a different approach, like contacting lin e directly and being nice and courteous in your request for warranty... instead of bitching on here to a bunch of people who don't give a fuck.

I had three pairs of 2003 V-pros get their tips and tails snapped off landing shit, and have seen a few karmas that ate shit quickly, but Volkl still makes durable shit. I think that all skis blow up but its who is willing to give you new shit the fastest.

If line were to respond to the hate threads since January they would need a whole division of employees. I have written these same sentiments too many times this year, "Line, please come back and fix your problems, we all love you and just want you back." I have also had to defend my love and hate while still pledging my support for the cardboardish moship flite and its siblings from line, I may however have to give up soon and look toward the Armada as a ray of all-Coolness. I still want the anthem though.

it could also be because they are not in production anymore and most of lines riders now use salamon bindings

I LOVE my lines.. always have and always will... they have never let me down and i have never had a problem with their skis and dont know anybody who have .. i will keep by lines side till the end of my skiing days... but it really blows what kind of situation your in.. good luck with it

give head. i did approach line with my problem, in a calm curtious manner. both through myself and through decade sports. they shrugged me off like im a some fool that thinks its their fault for a wood core ripping out.

give head you are truely an idiot and u agreed with me that line cut quality this year. thank you for helping me prove my point.

i tried to work with line for 3 months before making this thread as well. any other brainiac ideas give head. how about you give me head and we will call it even, ill just pretend i dont know ur retarded.

he's not hating, he's just stating that they've had an inconsistency of producing a ski that lasts a decent amount of time or is half way indestructable

after all the shit I've slanged on Line, i must say those anthems are as tempting as jailbait. Anybody else feelin the new anthem right now

I'm retarded? Yeah buddy.. Nothing I've said has been anywhere close to the idiocy that has flowed out of your keyboard. "Wonder why line isn't responding.. maybe they couldn't pay the bills." Thats purely idiodic. Of course they're not going to patronize you and this thread by posting... b/c they've already made their decision not to replace them. Sucks for you! Decade is a dope shop... and they must not like you, b/c otherwise they woulda worked something with you. (Example being another shop who gave money back on the same exact issue cept with a pair of JP's). Everything I have posted from the binding issue to production quality has been accurate and well founded. So fuck you.
