Nice try though. If you want good news, look beyond American news stations. Shit, even The Daily Show and Colbert Report are more informative than typical American news. Use the BBC or some foreign news company.

Lol... Oh I hate that bullshit too, but I must say MSNBC is to FOX what the clap is to AIDS. I like to watch both in small doses, it's funny to see how both report the same things but anybody with half a brain can see the ridiculous tactics Fox uses regularly. It's actually quite hilarious to watch them do it and people eat it up every time without question.

If anything, I lean far more conservative in my views on most things- and I even voted for a certain recent republican president as well (sorry about that)- but shit man, what the Republican party has become in the past few years is an absolute fucking joke. I hate it. It's fucking embarrassing and I wish people would take their heads out of their asses, I really do.

These guys are all in it for self interest. How many times have you seen any of them take office and accomplish everything proposed that was instrumental in winning them the election? Usually every step is calculated in lining their pockets and anyone that was a major contributor to their campaign fund to win an election. If anybody can't see this then you are truly blind. You can look at all parties and find something terribly wrong and corrupt about each one. Fact is these elitist have their own agenda.
 
Big government is ruining America. Government nosing into our everyday lives. Government controlling the products we purchase, (healthcare.) Republicans generally support the idea of a smaller government, Obama and other Democrats show by their laws and actions that they support big government. But overall when you look at it from far away, the government right now is just a scam for us. They've gotten too big and too involved in our lives.

Republicans USED to support the idea of smaller government. Really don't see that today.

The truth is that the people with the money that get politicians elected mean a hell of a lot more to them than the normal person. Unfortunately people will keep voting back into the system. Oh this guy get's a lot of media coverage, or this guy is supported by my party, this guy seems like a good guy, etc.

We should just get rid of the debates and campaigning. Go straight to the elections. What the hells the point of having a debate when the real issues don't get discussed. What's the point of campaigning when a party could put up a random guy from the street and back then, and get 1/4 of the votes just for the name of the party.

Everybody's so convinced that their side is righteous and all evil in the world comes from the other guys.

Hell why even have elections. It's not like we're ever going to vote decent people into office.

And to whoever said The Daily Show and Colbert Report are good news shows, I don't even know what to say. Not saying they aren't entertaining but if you base your political knowledge off of those shows, you are missing out on so much. They're basically Glen Beck but you're actually supposed to laugh at the news they report.

How do you figure dems are less responsible with money when every time a republican takes office the national debt skyrockets. Bush was given an economy essentially free from debt and when he left office we had shit tons. You should do your research a little better before opening your mouth about something you obviously know little about and looking at from a short sight perspective. I completely agree. American news is filled with so much BS to make it appealing to the masses. FOX is the worst though. It's pretty much impossible to get the truth without comparing multiple sources. BBC is good and the Council on Foreign Relations is hard to beat for international events.

Are they good "NEWS" shows? Fuck no. But they are not supposed to be "news" shows, they are entertainment. However, they provide a type of discourse that brings up topics that typical news stations do not. They provide information that these news stations avoid, whether it be informative or just simple examples of contradiction that news stations, pundits, and politicians often surround themselves with.
