Why isn't Woodsy officially on the Line team?

Since Salomon dropped a bunch of dudes (Vinny$ and Woodsy), Woodsy has been skiing Line unofficially and Vinny has been picked up by Jskis officially. At his level it seems unlikely that he would buy the skis himself. Anyone else find it odd that he isn't officially on their team? Maybe they don't have space or money to officially sponsor him (which I assume means sending him around, doing shoots and generally way more commitment than giving him sticks)?

Just something random I was curious about. Any theories? I don't have much of an idea on how sponsorships typically work in the industry.
 
My guess would be Line probably doesn't have the budget to put him fully on, so he's prolly just getting flowed product/homie hookups. Or, they're waiting for a more official release.
 
I think Line focused the budget to flow a lot of skis nowadays. That’s at least the impression I get from the outside looking in.

Or maybe woodsy is happy with monster and Planks and doesn’t want to be on a ski sponsor

Yeah that is an interesting point. It’s a possibility that he wants to just try a bunch of different skis to see what he likes before committing to a contract? He seems to have been riding lines for ages though so idk
 
I feel like Woodsy is past the peak of his career. Def has struggled at the comp scene recently but has also still linked some heavy runs. Beijing 2022 seems to prolly be his last run. Man seems humble enough to prolly know when to hang it up too. Seems like in 2022 ski companies can get away with just floating skis to insta content gen z'ers to market and promote products better than fully sponsoring an athlete where more pay is involved.
