Why isnt there girls big air?

haha..ill just back out of that before I get in trouble...

yes there needs to be a street comp for skiers... badly. just watching snowboarders 2 on and thinking a skier could 810 on just makes me mad

but there is no girls big air because of the size of the jump. girls weigh less and therefore do not carry enough speed to get to the sweet spot
 
I totally agree that there should be a ski street comp. It would be sick. But if you're talking about those HUGE 40 foot disaster 2's on the boarders were throwing... I really don't think any skier would have the balls to try to 810 on, let alone put it to their feet.

Still, get guys like Clayton, Will Wesson, Delorme, or Henrik on that course and watch the fireworks. It would be unreal
 
I think if there was a female big air event, all the ladies would most def start throwin down some dubs, yall are crazy
 
More like lj strenio/ will wesson? Street course skiing would almost be war of rails. A) lj strenio wins everytime B) lots of rails. Lol

That's not the reason, Henrik weighs less than most of those girls hahaha. I think the experience and depth of field isn't there for the women. They'd have to do the competition on a different jump or lots would withdraw/get injured.
 
it wouldn't be good at all, I doubt the girls would even want to hit the jump. Plus did ya watch the girls pipe i swear the commentators were laughing at them
 
Yeah good call but I wouldn't say LJ would win every time. Either way with WW, LJ, the Stept crew, B&E, plus other who can throw down it would an absolutely insane contest, that's for damn sure.
 
I don't think this is true. There was a little japanese 8th grader competing in pipe who couldn't have weighed more than 120 pounds, and he still managed to go huge. Your average female competitor probably weighs more than that kid. I think it's more the fact that female skiing is so far behind men's that is keeping females out of big air

Females do freestyle in the olympics though. Female freeskiing is behind mens but racing isn't, Vonn is a bigger star than any dude.

I think the ladies need to sack up. As someone said earlier womens pipe flat out sucked.
 
I remember the last major ski big air for women, when the winning trick was a 360, while the wining trick for men was like a switch dub 14 blunt or something
 
weight is not an issue.

Casabon is 135 pounds, Carlson is 140 pounds, Bellemare is 130 pounds. then compare to girls like Rose Battersby who is 160 pounds, Devin Logan who is 175, Hudak is 145, etc
 
they should have shown the girls slopestyle contest before the mens.. after seeing the men's i thought i was watching a rerun of the 2000 xgames when the women were on course.
 
The world isn't ready to watch a woman die on live TV... has a girl even hit a jump that big before? Pretty sure that was bigger than the 9 Queens jump.
