Why isn't there any skiing video games?

Just wondering because back in the day SSX used to be the one winter sport game fun to play and then they came out with a Shaun White game later on. I feel like if they did make a game it could have so much potential.

that is sort of what i chalked up the reason to... do you think it would be possible for NS members to fund a kickstarter for some company to make one or is it just too much money?

I'm stoked for snow to come out on PS4.

Also I used to play SSX on tour so hard! Best SSX game in my opinion because it had skiing. Every time SSX makes a new game since that game(ssx on tour) and there isn't skiing I have been disappointed.

EA needs to create the some style game as skate 3 but skiing/snowboarding but they won't because even if every skier buys it they still won't make enough money
 
I have a friend who has an uncle who works at EA, and he says they're working on a skate game for skiing.

It's not even done yet... hence "Beta"

I think the quality they have now is still pretty decent. You have to remind yourself there aren't any games right now that captures snow perfectly. They're getting better, but this game actually had to design how the players legs and skis move so that they look more realistic when skiing. I have followed this games development a lot and they have done a lot for this game. When It's finally done it's going to be on consoles too which I am stoked for. I'd say it's probably the best skiing game to date in all reality.

oh absolutely. ive had it on steam since it came out in early access. it has improved a ton but still has massive amounts of work to be done to be fully released. just my frustration with how slow it seems to be evolving. but that is the life of a small game dev company.

Yah, true. When I first heard about it I was stoked to see that it was great skiing game finally coming, but it looks like I might have a good enough computer to run the beta before it hits PS4.

Not complaining though I'd rather them take all the time they need to release a good game than do what EA does and release it half assed finished then try and make updates to fix the mistake, which never does fully fix the problem without creating some new issue or issues. lol
