Why is it Cool to Hate on Tom Now?

I haven't been on a lot throughout the summer, but last winter everybody was riding toms dick, now everybody is hating on him. What happened? Scandal? I don't know what to do with myself anymore. Im in a very lonely dark place.

his park shots in eye trip were un fucking real. that right cork 9 blunt was a thing of absolute beauty.

but really, nobody hates tom. if anything, people get hate because they love tom too much!
 
Because people naturally love to hate.

And everyone knows that Tom Wallisch is an incredible skier, but people are just sick of people announcing that Tom is awesome, like its never been said before.

and it's not cool to hate on tom. the people who do are just too damn hip to admit that he's top 3 best park skiers ever and would rather just hate on people who "gargle his balls" etc.

everything is a big cycle of trends and shit

i hope your kidding, its called a joke, and at that time tom was in no way rich. having skied with the guy at windells i can honestly say hes a really nice, encouraging dude. jesus, your going to base your opinion of a guy on one 30 second clip in which he is obviously joking?
 
why is it cool to act like a gangster when you're a teenager who lives at home?

because people follow trends. it's the way of the world

wait for someone to do something that is viewed as 'new and inspiring', jump on the bandwagon
 
He did come off as a little cocky in the PC bonus, but I think he was cracking a joke about the way people think he has 'baller' status when in fact he doesn't make that much money. He's near as big as you can get with skiing, and his 'rich' really isn't quite so rich. I mean, the kid drives a grand Cherokee. If he actually had bank (which he doesn't), he would probably have a nicer whip, as well as people to drive him up to the slope so he's not still getting ready in the parking lot with the rest of us.

lots of people call people tend whores and hate on them just because they bring up his name. They are so determined to prove that they are not a trend whore by hating.

Its the tools natural defense, just ignore it.
 
So what I got from this thread is that some people don't like him cause he comes off as cocky sometimes, if I could throw down like him I would be pretty damn cocky too, but thats just me
 
i also find it funny that people dont call him "Tom Wallisch" or "Wallisch," just tom. i mean, theres plenty of other toms out there
