Why in-n-out burger is the best fast food model.

In both cases the fries are very good, though...

Still not Little Big Burger's truffle fries though. The hype there is ultra deserved.

Yeah, and not only that, but holy selection! (this isn't even the full choice)

I mean, fuck.. they have 16's of RR and OG for like 3$, as well as HUB and Caldera (which was my collegetown brew)

And, seriously... nowhere else serves true catsup... and theirs is fucking Camdens (seriously, get a fucking bottle of it - it's spicy and amazing as fuck - so good on bbq hotdogs/links)

Can anyone who's had both shed some light on Five Guys compared to In-n-out?

ive only been to 5 guys once but it wasn't nearly as good at in and out. it was expensive for a boring burger IMO

I don't care what religion you adhere to. It's 2014. There's no tolerance for that assbackwards shit anymore, in my book.

Free speech it up all you want - but expect a retort to that speech if it's supporting anyone not having basic rights.

i miss in n out. way back in the 90s and early 00s we had them in the midwest.

I'm fairly positive you're thinking of something else. InNout wasn't even in Northern California until the mid-late 90's...

Shit, it didn't even venture into Reno until 10 years ago.

Wait, catsup and ketchup arent the same thing?

they are, technically.. but indie companies that make 'catsup' like Camden's tend to produce it more traditionally - it's thicker, borderline marinara consistency and normally seasoned better.

In Los Angeles... and in Southern California is where it generally remained until the late 1990's. I have pretty real doubts as to whether they made it to Michigan before other reaches of the Southwest.

with that being said, we had it. i cant prove it, but we did.

do a quick google search, in n out has never been anywhere near the midwest. you must be confusing it with something else

I can guarantee they did not. They have never closed a store once opened. Their whole business model is to only expand within their limits and stay less than a ~8 hours drive from a supplier. Texas was a big deal when they opened there and it all relied on finding new suppliers.

Really? Not for the plethora of amazing skiing potential? Squaw, Mammoth, Mt. Shasta Backcountry, etc?

Just go to Mexico if you're going to SD...

Double Double Meal is 6.50

2 Cheeseburgers Meal @ Mcdonalds $4.89

Keep in mind it's different depending upon where you live. In Cali Mcds is more expensive, and I'm in AK right now and in Anchorage a 2 cheeseburger meal would prolly be 8 dollars. Man I wish I had an animal double double right now.

The 15 an hour pay is only in Vegas as its a huge expensive tourist destination. Go to one in Utah and they make your usual minimum wage lol

The ones in California all pay 11-13ish. The San Francisco one paid around 15 as well.

I'm from Reno, and I'm currently in Bozeman. The withdrawals are killing me.

You need to get friends from haver or eastern montana. My buddies dad has a huge ass farm and ranch and nothing is better than a cow cut up just 6 hours ago.

there are companies that will put an in-n-out burger on dry ice and overnight it to you. that's how much people love in-n-out

There is no way that is going to be as good as fresh... In N Out is AWFUL as leftovers.

...also, I'm going to have In N Out for lunch again today, suckers.

video of a reporter who bought it and tried it. gave it a 6/10 if a fresh in-n-out burger is a 10/10

In N Out is fine and all, but shit dude.. You could go to a ridiculous restaurant and get an insane buffalo burger for that much.

definitely. 40 bucks will get you a good steak at a LOT of restaurants

i have been to tahoe and texas before and driven past several in-n-outs before and still haven't gone, my life is lacking

The one thing about In N Out that really sets it apart is the fact that it's so high quality, and you can get it at a drive thru... When I was in Truckee and drove down to Sac or the Bay Area, i'd always stop at the Auburn location because of the access to a cheap, decent meal. That said, as far as eating in, I'd rather go to so many other burger spots that take the same amount of time to get your food out to you.

My neighbor's dad has a cattle ranch, so we get dank ass meat frequently. Nothing beats fresh meat

Funny you mention that. This thread made me want a 4x4 animal style rare, so on my lunch break I went to the Northern most In n Out in California in Redding. Mind you this location is one of the busiest in the state since it has just as man Oregon customers as local ones. Anyway, the chick next to me, about mid 20's was straight up INHALING a burger. She had an Oregon "O" tattooed on her foot and so that got the conversation going and it ended with her admitting that she had 2 more burgers in the bag next to her that were going into the cooler in the car to eat later on down the road. Haha, not to mention my buddy in Bend always asking me to bring him one. Shits bomb. I really want to give that Little Big Burger a try Sean!

Hahaha Dude, I had so many friends while living in Oregon who would drive down to redding on an In N Out roadtrip for whatever dumb fat reason... I went with them just to take photos of Shasta en-route.

If you ever go to Eugene or Portland, you HAVE To, Nate. It's fucking awesome, and they have an absolutely bonkers beer selection.

Also, fuck UofO lolol they lost to UofA last weekend.
