Why don't ski pants do this?

Yoy know the insides of your pants by your ankle, where they always get cut to shit from your edges. They should put some kind of rubber or thin hard plastic. It's a quick fix really, my pants get trashed there and by the end of the season theres huge holes there that fill with snow and no matter how much I sew they get worse and worse, word

if you tuck your pants into your boots that doesn't happen, it's a simple solution to a major problem.

My weiner is probably harder than yours.

your skis would probably cut that shit up too

Yeah they really should put atleast more fabric back there to make it harder to rip.

Theres seriously like 1,000,001 things they could do to remedy it, I know I'm not the only person who has that problem

Am I the only person thinking "chain mail"?

But I also think women who are this way (and it is almost all of you) should be honest and admit that they are basically whores, and stop saying bad things about the so-called "actual whores" who are just trying to earn an honest living."

word, duct tape works great! But yeah, my old Patagonia pants had some super durable fabric on the inside cuffs. I skied with those pants for 4 years and no major tears or cuts and I beat the shit out of them. It seems that all the companies are imitating snowboard outerwear when in reality, ski pants need to be much more durable in certain areas. I'm really surprised that Siver and Orage don't already do this. I have last years Tactical Pants and they're not too bad but still has some cuts in it.

it happens because when you walk you step on the cuff of the leg with your boot heel, then when you get in your bindings sometimes the cuff gets cought between the binding and the boot

You know you have the coolest cab driver when he says, 'And we're off like a prom dress.'

pull up your pants....They are talking about your edges cutting your shit up.

Yeah I use duct tape too. Just go to like a hardware store and you can even get different collors to match you pants. They you won't look like some hippie douche with duct tape all over your pants.

Well they could be nice and do all of this yes, but then would they make as much money? No. They obviously don't care because if your cutting up the pants then your going to need new ones.

Then you might say well if their pants are shit people are going to hear about it and not buy them, wrong! They spend alot of money on design of the rest of the pants and some on the inside cuff part. This way they make a dope looking pair of pants that look awesome but rip after some ware and tare. Then your like "Shit my steeze pants are torn! I'll just get a steezer pair off of 'insert company name here' because their all so steeze!" And thats how money is made!

yeah but if someone built a pair of pants that doesnt fall apart after a few months I would buy their brand over the ones I need to replace every season

If you remember a lot of pants that mogul d00ds use to wear had the extra cloth on the: knees, butt, and inside of the legs. And it was black while the rest of the pants were different colors. It worked pretty well, but then if ski companies did that people may think, "THOSE PANTS ARE JUST FOR RACERS! RACERS SUK 4 LYFE" Go buy some mogul pants it might fix your problem.

i had similar problem and i wasnt about to tuck my pants in the boot and look like a snow fairy,. i bought these sick snowboarding pants that hella suck but are really durable and nothin seems to be tearing and ive skied one season on em and plan on doing another.

Me: Hey I got these sweet new skis today.

Matt: Sick, are they telegraph?

Me: You mean telemark?

Matt: Yea, im retarded.

^^^^ hahaha, yeah youre edges are shit.

i guess if you really wanted to you could like, roll up your pants enough so your edges dont land on em. but to be honest i think it looks nice when theyre a little ripped, shows youre core.

my dads columbia pants actually have stronger material at the bottom, where they cover the boots, so they won't tear.

I dont wanna ducttape up my brand new ski pants, I just want companies to make logical features on their pants

Most skiwear companies used to put protective material down there. Then somebody decided that it wasn't good style to have a black patch of material on the lower cuffs. Kinda dumb if you ask me. Then again, there are "core" companies that make ski pants with the water resistance of a tshirt...

i think predator pants have them too. instead of duct tape you can go buy some clear epoxy (in the canisters not the little tubes) from a craft or plastics store. mix up the epoxy and pour a really thin layer on the bottom of your pants. this part will stay really hard but they shouldn't tear.

haha! chain mail medievil steeze baby!!

if your boots are so roomy you can tuck your pants into them theyre WAY too big.

just buy pants that hasve that bonus layer-mine have super rigid fabric on the cuffs.

Exactly!!! I would buy a quality product over the newest "steezy" looking pants anyday.

Tucking them into your boots not only looks silly but it also cuts off the circulation to your foot even if you try and get all the creases out.

ya a thin layer of lexan woud do the trick. it would be hard to get a substance thats durable enough to take the ski edge sharpness and also still bend/wrap around ur leg and not look like shit
