Why does the First Chair 130 cost $100 more than the 120

What am I missing...I was going to just pick my favorite color and have my bootfitter get to stretching plastic like you read about.

Plastic is expensive bro. And some plastic is more expensive than other plastic.

Guess I never thought of that, but they do sell all of the different flex tongues as spares for $50

I don’t know as far as FTs go but a lot of the time the 130 or higher boots boots have upgraded liners, so it is not always just the flex that is different.

This is what I thought initially, but it looks like the same liner. I didn’t realize a stiffer flex required that much more expensive of a boot, but I probably haven’t noticed it in the past since the “130” kind of range usually has other doo-dads that bump up the price too. I thought FT established small flex changes with that tongue piece, but I haven’t ridden a pair in a loooong time

This is 100% correct. Most all ski boots use the same external components but it’s the liner that changes a lot of the prices of a boot. So the stiffer a boot the more different foams that are used in the liner thus creating the higher price.
