Why does Ski Media not get love anymore?

If you go into Skimanguy’s instagram right now i’m sure the post will have over 30,000 views and thousands and thousand of likes. On3p 4, Vishnu Pallet, shit even Tom Wallisch Imagination all have less than 25,000 views with some less than 15,000 and i see this happening all over the place edits and any ski media isn’t getting love unless it’s on social media specifically instagram. Idk man it’s a sad day. Thoughts?

Instagram is super convenient, in the amount of time it took me to watch on3p 4, I could've watched quality content from 20 different people on it. Not that insta is better, it goes movies > edits > insta imo

Attention spans shrinking, having to seek out the content versus scrolling.. we live in a fast media society

Unfortunately Instagram has drawn the hype away from edits and movies. If someone throws an insane trick it’s posted on the gram. I don’t blame the athletes at all because whatever gets them the most $ at the end of the day. But man the hype leading up to premiere season in August and September was the shit before IG blew up. Walking into a level 1 premiere pre Instagram you knew there would be an athlete segment or park shoot that would be a surprise. There’s no longer that feeling of suspense because IG supplies you with athletes at the shoots and location.

You can even see the effects of this finally leaking over to NS. There are tons of one clip videos on this site now. That was never the case years ago. I still like to make edits myself because I find them to be infinitely more satisfying

Quantity over Quality. With iphones and stuff getting good people would rather see daily clips rather then well put together edits. Kidda makes me sad because some edits on here were really sick and they are far and few between now. But, on the other hand Instagram edits are almost just as rad. Just sucks one has to take away from the other.

Word i mean it is easy pulling out your $1300 phone and being able to film 4k in a instant with very little user controls the times are a changing
