dont get me wrong i love 4bi9 and tanner and ashley but couldnt they be getting much better training at hood or whistler?

why do they go to park city, i looked at their webcam and they dont even have snow?

Because they don't "train" they all ski with their friends and have fun. Plus they all live here.

Ok, this is a horrendously stupid fucking question.

Perhaps most of my answer is supposition, you, thread creater, could use your brain to postulate similar things.

Park City: roughly 40-45 minutes from salt lake city. That means easy access to other big resorts and a major international airport. That's better than an obligatory 2+ hour drive to get to an airport (as in the case with whistler). If you're a travelin pro, that's nice.

Weather: Hood and whistler get PNW weather, which means gray and goopy but tons of fucking snow. Whistler usually gets a solid park, but hood... eh not so much. I think the big problem is that you're misconstruing the prominence of, say, Hood's (Timberline's) summer park with their winter park. While decent, it is not really world-class caliber, certainly not like that of many Colorado and PC parks, plus it's usually gray all the fucking time.

Money: You realize how many incentives Pep and Tanner got to go to Park City from Mammoth? Then again, they're never there. It's just a form of advertisement for PC.

Seasons: This can be attributed to weather. Most of the people you mentioned end up in places like whistler, hood, NZ, europe during the summer when a place like utah is unskiable.

school: Major ski bum university in very close proximity. Funny how that attracts young skiers.

questions: stop asking dumb ones.

Yeah right, Tanner trains his ass off, his work ethic is legendary. Most people have no idea how many times he has been at the pipe hiking and working on tricks before the lifts even open.
And by the way, it is possible to train and still be with your friends and having fun.
Or maybe the concept of putting some effort towards learning and improving is just not cool enough for all the gangsters on ns?

You are in way over your head bud, its an inside joke, you don't need to care so much.

And to the dude who said pc is 40-45 mins from slc? Horse shit, 25-30 mins.

Have you personally ever been to PC? You'd probably change your mind after if you have not already.

yeah like why would anybody ever want to live in utah when you could train on dryslope in florida all year round?

because PC has the best pipe to hike all day! and a great vantage point for my coach to film my 1260 iron crosses for video review!

Thats from a Transworld snowboarding magazine though..... it doesn't really apply. A snowboarders definition of a good park is completely different from a skiers' (thats not to take anything away from Whistler.... their park is sick). Whistler is also much much more expensive to live in than Utah, worse weather, college is far from skiing... the list goes on.

mr thread creator. im sure that tanner hall and 4bi9 are good enough that it doesnt really matter where they train and theyve all obviously been to whistler and hood and theres obviously something about pc that they like more. my question to u is why do u care where tanner hall and 4bi9 train anyway?

Whistler and the PNW you don't see the sun until February. Colorado is too expensive and inconvenient.

utah gets over 500 inches of powder each year. There are 7 ski areas all nearly touching, then a few more just an hour away. PC's park is banger, and people have fun.

and finally, who cares?

One of the biggest reasons is travel. SLC is a major hub airport, you can fly anywhere pretty quickly/easily, and PC is a short drive from SLC and the airport. Whistler is 120km to Vancouver plus driving through the city to the airport. Weather is another thing. Also you are close to BCC/LCC resorts for non-park related skiing.

BECAUSE OF THE ROAD CREWS, THE ROAD CREWS AT PARK CITY ARE FUCKING FANTASTIC. HAVE YOU EVER EVEN SEEN THE ROAD CREW AT WHISTLER?

I dunno why I said February. I meant April.

And yeah, You can go sledding in Guardsman pass, build/hit a jump, and make it back to PC for a couple hours of park shredding. Utah is the most convenient place to live, ski, work, go to school, etc.

omg eheath is soooo leet! he has inside jokes with tanner and lives in the same place as 4bi9! and he knows how to get to pc 10 minutes faster then that guy whos obviously not a leet local like himself!
shut up you fat piece of shit!

whoa buddy, first of all, they're jokes with pc loc-dogs about colorado, not with t hall. second of all, it DOES only take 25-35 min to get to pc. third of all, dont pick on someone who can eat you whole.

You're an idiot, what i said had nothing to do with tanner, obviously tanner trains he's a professional athlete, probably one of the best and i do not know him.

The joke is about training and how you live in colorado to train and utah to have fun, its a joke, you took not getting a joke into assuming completely false statements.

And ask anyone who lives in slc, it takes 25-30 mins.

OMG YOU CALLED ME FAT IM GONNA GO CRY.
