Why do you watch/participate in freestyle skiing?

Hi guys, I'm writing a report and trying to collect data on why people watch/participate in freestyle skiing.

If you could take the time to describe in one sentence why you do it would really help with this.

Cheers

Freeskiing is so out of the normal 'SPORTS' realm and I love it. It's not typical or normal thing to do...plus it's badass and full of adrenaline so that's probably the main reason.

There's NOTHING BETTER than getting that adrenaline rush after getting out of your comfort zone/stomping a trick. Idk man I just love skiin

Exactly...Just skiing

The competitive aspect i think is just as addictive as the relax and have fun aspect. Powder is fun but so is having gapers look at you and tell you to do a helicopter.

Its kind of crazy how competitive the freesking scene is considering how little money there is in it for the pros. Skiers definitely have taken the style aspect past any other action sport in my opinion. I think thats a really cool aspect of the ns scene. Making hard tricks look so easy that you look like your just doing it for fun, and you dont even care whos watching.

That’s what the cool kids do and I want to be just like them

I grew up skiing when it wasnt cool, first kid on my mountain with a pair of twin tips. Still have them. Rossignol scratch pro teen. Lime green sidewalls.

Because skiing is hands down the greatest sport in the world, and freestyle skiing is the most satisfying/artistic discipline within it.
