Other than the durability why do people like them so much. I hear they’re crazy heavy so I just don’t understand. I see so many ppl riding them. Thanks for responding if you do.

edit: haven’t skied them, looking for ppl who have and have something to say abt them

They are a solid ski the stiffness makes it good for charging hard in most conditions the width is awesome in slush and chopped up snow, then the rocker still makes them a playful ski. Plus weight is not a bad thing because gravity will want bring you to your feet and its like a swing weight when you use poles for spinning

I demo’d then when I totally merc’d another pair on a family trip.

Didn’t like them too much, too stiff/cambered for a park ski and not the right shape/size for all mountain ripping (for my taste). Definitely felt burly tho, I liked that.

In NZ end of season sales they are disgustingly cheap which i why i had a pair. Didn't actually like them really but at the price they end up will i get another pair at some point, maybe.

What skis do u ride then ??

they are one of the most durable skis i have ever skied. super fun for all terrain, skied knee deep pow and straight ice, both works. it's really nice for rails with a nice stable platform and strong edges. rode mine for a season on mostly sticky rails and i only got 2 edgecracks. i would usually have no edge underfoot with other skis by the same time.

only thing i dislike about it is the turn radius. i wish it was sharper. i'm used to sharp turns like my B-dogs provide, so when i get on my poacher it feels clunky like a 120 underfoot ski. even though you get used to it quick

Poachers don't excell in anything besides stomping the fuck outta landings , but they don't do anything badly. It's always a safe bet ski

Got some candide 2s on a good sale. They feel like they ski alot longer in the same length which I prefer, I also like the flex. Wouldnt recommend them tho due to durability.

Because ppl like all kinds of different skis?

Poachers are not universally loved but definitely respected for doing a lot of things pretty well.
