Why do people steal icons?

there's one other dude that has mine. i'll give him the benefit of the doubt and say he might've just happened to have the same one, but it throws me off every time.
 
well i dont know how to make my own icon so i just go back into the depths of the thread archives and take one.

can any one show me where i can make my own, like a thread of how to make you own?
 
I'll make you one. If you know what you want and stuff.

Otherwise, get photoshop or some other editor.
 
not gonna lie, 3 days into this site I got sick of the ns icon and was like fuck it im stealing one. I got lots of angry pms so I changed it to this

i made my carlton icon to go with my carleton name and not many people of carleton names so i understand why they wouldn't steal the carlton icon.
 
Mine is a pic of me, not that you can tell, but I might be a bit pissed since it's actually a pic I took of me skiing. I still have the rabbit suit too.
 
icons are iconic. When a member "steals" an icon from another icon they are trying to be like that other member because he/she is popular and the thief is looking for undeserved attention. I doubt anyone would want to steal mine because it's simply a building.
 
Suggestion for users looking for icons. dig up some old threads, find an icon, see if that user hasn't logged on in 30 days, and steal away
