Why do people sensor swear words in their titles?

so we've determined that ni**er and fa**ot are not allowed, but what about niggerfaggot?

i always used the fa**ot word as an over the top joke. i obviously have nothing against gay people. but recently on ns i have witnessed legit hate towards gay people. not just dumb kids joking, actual hate from weird and fucked up individuals. it makes it understandable to ban that word as well as the n-word. when used as a slur it's just as bad
 
Because they dont know the rules and are afraid that if they curse they will get banned or their thread will be deleted.
 
I agree.I am not condoning swearing in a thread title, but really saying "F*ck" is the same thing as saying "Fuck". Why not think of a different word if you do not want to swear?
This is off-topic but I am trying to cut down on my swearing in general. By doing so I have found I am expanding my vocabulary (finding more suitable words) and I generally sound like less of an idiot.
 
what is going on? how this and there being a preview button could bother you is beyond me

anyway.. i think it's cause other forums don't allow forums, that or theyre just classy individuals. i would like the thread listings to not be dirty ever (plus NSFW warnings) so that i could safely look at NSG while on break at work more easily. but whatever
 
seriously, feature that we need here.
some of the stuff (pictures) isn't just NSFW. It's NSF public viewing. Either mods gotta start deleting those pictures with block text, or there has to be a way to hide pictures.
 
its so that when their mommies are looking over their shoulder, they dont see any offensive thread titles

because every mom has to protect their kid from reading "fuck", yet the mom probably says it at the kid from time to time

and when the mom isnt in the room, the kid opens the thread and none of the words are censored.

win-win: moms think their kids have good language, and 12 year olds get to see their favorite swear word written out, because they seem to be amused by that
 
its funny because you used the fuck word to express how you are unconcerned with the consequences of using the fuck word. i myself prefer to stick to creative variations of cunt, (ie. cuntnugget, cuntstain, cuntjuice ect.) it has a much higher chance of yielding a ban.
all words used for thoughtful discussion of the topic presented by eheath and therefore completely legit.
