Why didnt anyone like Royalty?

mos definetly my favorite movie of the year. the skiing and music flowed so smoothly until dion and dybvigs segment came on. but other than them, that movie was off the hook

 
Yeah that's definetly a good movie.. I wouldnt say it was my favorite, but its up there with Propaganda.

Iberg is the shit. His movie would have been the best had he left out Dybvig.

Iberg has the best opinion of the way skiing should be and everyone should support him and his efforts.

I watch the movie every single morning.... ha ha... mind you I watch happy gimour every day too... and caddie shack... and I have realy been enjoying excess baggage lately.... ha ha... jeff we need some more movies... hey if any of you guys coming up this weekend have any videos that you don't want to watch any more... bring them up and donate them to the keep dave and jeff from going insane movie colection.

hahahahah. I think they should have just changed dybvig's section. he had some wicked shit. like zipperlining bumps into a rail and then back into bumps.... so yeah I liked the movie a lot.

royalty is by far the most well done video of this year. i don't know who would claim otherwise

he's an awesome skier, just not quite up to the level of everyone else in the film, and his music was a little out of sync with the rest. I love that bump line when the camera is going down the lift and he's just rippin it up though.

yeah his segment doesn't really flow with the film because it's really fast paced and the music is too. but the rest of the film is like slow rap/reggae.

dyvbig is a sick skier, but his style doesn't fit with the rest of the movie. the skiers were sleected because of their smooth non tweaky snowboardish style. all the skiers in that movie have similar style components... and dyvbig - as sick as he is - doesn't conform with the rest of the skiers styles.... we don't all hate dyvebig, or think he sucks.... just that he doesn't belong in this perticular movie. yea.

ya, who you talking to? 'cause everyone I talk to thinks the movie is good. I think the thing is amazing. Very, very well done.

and for the dude that just asked - not sure if there's a trailer up anywhere, but Royalty was done by Eric Iberg, it's a park video concintrating on style... with a cast of Belenger, Deseneaux, Dybvig, Thovex, Dion, Pollard, and Larose.

I really hope the line video for the comming fall is just as good, if not better.

the secret movie is sick! its from 96 the phils were doing rodeo 7 mutes and safetys and shit back then... its really badass.. i also like what iberg says in his lil thing on the xtra features..

Royalty is by far the best ski movie I have ever seen, the skiing is super stylie and the soundtrack matches it perfectly. I watch it so much that my girlfriend knows most of the words to the soundtrack.

 
i still l ike propaganda more, but the movie is still good

i was super stoked on that movie...really well chosen riders. its just weird, cuz im used to seeing more riders, with shorter segments. which id rather see than just really long ones of a few people. but i still liked it allot

It was cool, but I liked Propaganda more. Propaganda was just so polished. As for Dyvig, (sp?) he really did feel out of place.

Dude, who the hell said they didn't like Royalty?? I had a post going a couple weeks ago that was praising Royalty. It is definatley worth getting the DVD. I go the DVd and VHS sent to me and they're both sick. I can't wait to see if theres gonna be an Emedia film next year. I heard he's just gonna film for PBP though. I think the movie was great cuz it only had a few people. Next year I think Turpin will be added to the list. I hope they keep it long but with only a few people!! That'll be cool...

i think the soundtrack sucks so bad. and in all honesty the movie grew on me. i didnt like it that much when i first saw it i really only bought it because i knew eric pollard had a big segment in it, but now i think its a really sick video. i wouldnt say its btter then propaganda cause its just really diffrent. propaganda has a lot of skiers and royalty has a lot of style.

I WAS ON THE POOR BOTZ SITE and everyone there was talking shit about royalty, no one liked it.....i had no fucking clue what was up with that, thats all, i thought it was one of the sickest movies of the year, and the chumps on poorboyz were all homo, thats all, so thanks for setting the record straight.

 
only thing i didnt like about it(and everyother ski movie) was it was all in the terrain park, no backcountry hits, but no ski movies really ahve that in them. look at snowboard films, they are all either rails, or huge backcountry hits. it makes their tricks so muchsmoother.
