why can't i get an icon

hey i keep trying to get an icon but when it says browse to find one and i put on and push ok, it says it isn't in jpeg format, how do i convert pictures to jpeg and have the require byte size?

if it says filename.JPG then get rid of the capitals so its just .jpg

its really funky about that..i think it rounds up from like 1.5k so you could try making it like 1k and it should work better
