Why are most park skis non-symmetrical now?

I'm sorry if this is a 'n00b' question.

I'm starting to see lots of parks skis (especially Armada) have all their park skis non-symmetrical (ex. 110-90-108) or something like that, I just made those dimensions on the spot.

Lots of park skiers do like switch as much as they do regular anyway, so why not make it symmetrical? I know there are skis out there that are fully symmetrical, but even so, some 100% park skis are made for 100% park, but are not symmetrical.

I'm just curious about this topic.

Well, from what I've read, park skis aren't usually symmetrical anymore because it changes the riding characteristics of the ski. Having just as fat of a tail as a shovel makes the tails feel very hooky and unpredictable in most conditions. The stability on edge is compromised, and when the skis are riding flat they are more prone to hooking.

some people like how they ski, some don't. if you don't ski switch at least 50% of the time, you don't need a symmetrical ski

Those be some crazy dimensions.

I liked symmetrical skis, I was on Anthems this past season, and they were an amazing ski. Kinda different, but really fun to ski in the park.

Come on, you don't have to post on every thread that's about park skis.

Ps. you obviously do not own the punx, you have been asking everyone if you should buy them or not.

economics/statistics: the ski market is a normal curve with "specialty" skis falling on the outskirts, my invaders arent hooky

I had the vokl walls and the armada t halls last season and way preffered the way that they walls skied because they are symmetrical.
