because they are lower in quality than other companies. this is a true statement and really not arguable. i have skied lines im not saying their bad but i sure as hell didn't like them. its all personal preference. my problem with lines was that they have no side wall so that when you crack the side of your ski then the edge cracks too. also the top sheets came off way to easily. also the ski has no stifness to it at all so when your going fast the skis turn into noodles. my last problem is that the skis are too heavy and have a horibble swing weight. after skiing lines then switching to 4frnt the 4frnts feel like feathers not even kidding. i never had a problem with the weight of a ski until my line anthems. the anthems are also reidicolously wide because if the ski was narrower it couldn't handle big landings. the anthems were too wide for me. it was like a powder ski in the park. so in my opinion i feel that lines are:
1. not as durable
2. are lower in quality
3. are too heavy
4. Edges and top sheet break too easily
