Why are FKS so popular?

So I tried to searchbar this and didn't really find anything
So I was just wondering why the FKS binding is so popular. I always see them mounted on skis, and people are always selling and buying them, so I was wondering what is so good about them.

Bomb proof - use lots of metal but are not crazy heavy though super durable

Tons of elastic travel - well self explanitory

Very few (if any) Pre Releases - Fuckin awesome since you wont eat shit for no reason

Just awesome in general, i think they look sweet too

The toe has been the same for a long time because it has proven to be the safest on the market, The heel for one thing has all the screws under the boot; there is no plate/screws behind the heel therefore there is no deadspot on the ski besides what is created by your boot. The other reason being that the pivoting heel is safer when releasing, its a consistent release pressure that is required, this makes it true to din, there is no need to crank up your bindings, It is really one of if not the safest binding out there

This is the best one. I have the fks 150 race. 15DIN Full Metal toe, vertical release. You cant ask for anything else.

i got all kinds of turntable/pivots haha

sick, I wish I had that many choices for bindings. I want to get a new pair, but they are so hard to get a hold of. I think I want some 120s (I'm only 5'8" 155lbs - so my din is like a 7-9 - so the 12 din is perfect).

Not really, there are ~6 pairs for sale on the front page not to mention the super influx of new ones into the market.

sick, im picking up a few pair of those. any clue how many are left in stock so they dont run out before i order?

could some one rank them in order i dont know much about the fks but i am very interested in them.

+K

Yeah, I saw those the other day, I keep forgetting to order a pair. Hopefully they don't run out before I'm able to (gotta get some extra cash first).

What do u mean?

FKS 120 up to 12 din has same toe as PX (ie w/ vert release)

FKS 155 (up 2 15 with race toe all metal)

FKS 185 (up to 18 with race toe all metal)

how would they compare to the marker griffons? i know the griffons are lighter (probably?) but they dont have the pivot heel... discuss? which ones are a better binding?

Sorry, I had to fix a few things with the item page. They're back up for sale again and free shipping still applies. Glad you swooped a pair.
