that test is bullshit, I actually took it once, got like 95, then went back and just picked a for every answer and got 130.
 
i got a 128 but i have a bad concussion right now so i'm so out of it...the matching buttons ones were brutal for me, that's basically the same as a baseline concussion test

When I was in, ahem, "treatment" I scored a 140 on a gruelingly long test (Stanford-Binet).
Top 1% of the population..no biggie...yawn.
 
somehow i highly doubt that..... i don't think a legitimate iq test would ask you historical questions
 
are you sure a 140 is in the top 1%

cuz i took one a while back and i got somewhere in the high 140s or low 150s

and my grandpa's was over 160. (Then again, he did graduate college at 19)

142. that was kind of bullshit though... some of those were ridiculous. lus some of it was simple knowledge. i dont think iq should be based on knowledge
 
For everyone who took it, don't let it inflate your ego. It's an absolute bullshit test, designed to score you quite a bit higher than you would score on a real test, such as the Stanford-Binet. They make it nearly impossible to not qualify, because they want your $90.

A true IQ test has nothing to do with how well you actually score, but how well you compare to others taking the test. Scores are fit to a bell curve and the median is set to 100. Therefore, half the people taking the test WILL score below 100, and half WILL score above. If this test is actually done that way (highly likely, as it will inflate scores), all the knuckledraggers that click random shit or are just plain dumb will drive the scores of everyone else up.

well when i took an IQ test to get ADD meds i scored in the 99.8 percentile, 80% in the concentration section kinda brought me down

I'm positive. It's over two standard deviations higher than the median.
There's as much variance in the top 1% as there is in the first 99%.
 
Most IQ tests have "general factual knowledge" sections.
They are slightly controversial though as they're obviously subject to cultural bias.
IQ tests are obviously flawed and don't really count for much.
 
Flawed because they only account for such a small part of how we use our minds. They don't tell you how smart you are, but give you a vague idea about your potential.
I've never seen a musical IQ test or creativity IQ test. Seems like the only thing IQ tests are good for is separating the normals from the douches in tweed jackets who sit on their asses and think they're better than everyone.
