I did the worlds highest bungee (260meters or something) in South Africa this summer. Was fucking epic. I wasnt scared at all until i was standing on the edge and actually had to jump.
that has to be one of the scariest things ever i mean after you have done it once you know its not so bad but youre first time i mean fuck youre basically convincing yourself to jump of a cliff a some cord is suposed to stop you at the bottum
I'd skydive before I even thought about going bungee jumping. Every time I see a person jump I imagine that big cord wrapping around their neck popping their head off.
Really not an issue. Its not hard to keep yourself in the spread-eagle pose or whatever... except not spread eagle because your legs are together but you know what i mean... and when you get to the bottom and bounce back up theres no big whiplash moment or anything like that, its pretty smooth.
The only thing that bothered me was hanging upside-down at the bottom waiting 5 minutes to get winched up killed my ankles.
I did it in Australia, and all I can say is FUCK. It is such a good time. You're gonna want to go again, and again, and again, and every single time you go its just as scary as the time before.
For the finale, i got on my hands and knees, got helped into a handstand, and walked off the edge.
It was fucking nuts. 400+ feet freefall, i thought i would hesitate but i just went for it, balls to the wall. I have a video of it on my facebook, i wish i could embed it in here
i meant highest altitude, not longest jump. And i also did a jump in rotorua where the operator pulled that shit on me and said "WAIT" right when i jumped - Priceless face
one of the floor panels fell out of the bungy car a couple of years ago. there was a girl standing on it and she fell through. a guy waiting his turn to jump managed to grab her arm before she went right out the hole.
bullll shit. there arent raelly floor panels. Its just a metal box, but there are cutouts where the put clear glass. i highly doubt it broke though....
also, when i was waiting to go and i wasnt actually in the box yet, this fat chick went and the entire box tilted.
bungee jumping is so fun i did a 175ft tower and just dove off it no problem. didnt get scared at all till about 1 sec into it when u realize your heading straight to the ground
i did that to, it was awesome, they asked if u wanted to hit the water then fly back up. i got to my waist haha. i wanna go back and make time for the day trip out to the nevis highwire.
yeh its pretty nuts seein the water 45m below u knowing yur gunna hit it.. and it was freekin cold. but at least you dont have to wait to be pulled up, they lower you into a raft.
i recently did my first jump off the Macau Tower in Hong Kong, 233m, like you said it wasnt scary till 1 second in when you feel like you're gonna die.
I jumped the Great Canadian Bungee a little over a month ago. It's pretty dope, I'm really scared of heights but once you get up there you just slam jam it without thinking. I would recommend getting strapped up around your waist, I did ankles and it wasn't as sick.
took the plunge today. I can easily say that it was the scariest, craziest, most fun thing I've ever done.
I am super happy its done, but now I have an urge to go again.
Glad I got it out of my system and finally just did it.
I'll post a video soon.
did you jump victoria falls? thats the one i did and i wasnt scared until i stepped to the top of the rail. super sketched out because the mist was so bad you couldnt see the bottom. it was like jumping into a cloud. not gonna lie though, i thought i was gonna piss myself when i was standing on the railing, i hate uncontrollable drops, same with big drops on roller coasters. weird
